Two military horses were seriously hurt after they were spooked by a construction noise and broke free in London, galloping for miles across city streets.

The blood was indeed shocking But the Grey (called Vida) is ironically the horse (out of the last two), who is the least injured. Sadly, the other horse (Quaker) is apparently the worst injured - and is in a special equine hospital. The updates on Quaker don't sound promising so far, I'm afraid. We'll just have to hope Quaker pulls through. He/she deserves to be retired to a nice pasture to live out his/her days.

Aye. But these Apocalypse Horses are far more hard-core than the prophecy. They freakin' chucked their Apocalyptic Horsemen first, having decided the Horsemen weren't actually needed?! 😮 In another spooky coincidence, Big Ben stopped working for a while today. Our country's most famous and symbolic clock, therefore acted as if time had suddenly stood still. 😬 So time standing still, bleeding Apocalyptic horses 🐎 rampaging through the capital's centre...good job I'm not more superstitious, than I actually am 😂

Very Professional! The British Military is ultra-disciplined, and totally caring about the Safety of the Public. An event such as this is extremely rare. I'm a born and bred Yank. However, I worked with the British Airborne (1st Para) while I served in the US Army 505th PIR 82nd Airborne Division). I've never seen finer trained Troops in my life, than those from the UK! It was a pleasure going on training exercises with the Brits.

The horse's own blood, sadly. If you've seen the damage to the cars/buses/taxis (that the horses were hitting full pelt), you'd see how a horse could get injured like that. Windscreens were smashed, with shards of glass everywhere. The army said today, the horse had lacerations and blood loss. And the horses mainly injured themselves, near the start of their escape. So if you've cut yourself badly, continuing to run at 30-40mph for another 6 miles, won't help. Nor will blind panic. It's all fine way to get the blood pumping as fast as possible (and so, make any bleeding worse).

Horses spook easily and are thr leading cause of spinal cord injuries. I was thrown from my horse who got spooked. I was badly hurt and required spine surgery. I'm glad the soldiers were not injured foremost, also no bystanders.

@@littleme3597he crashed into a bus and the glass cut him. And with all of his adrenaline it made it bleed more I’m sure. The black horse was bleeding too but you just couldn’t see it. It ran into a taxi 🚕

Pic was doctored and not particularly well either. If it hadn't been done digitally I would have said they used a red marking pen on it, it was done so badly. And that is my opinion (oh and I saw the same clip of the horses yesterday and there wasn't a red mark on it.

If the claim is true, why would they have taken the horses to a spot where such construction was occurring, and then they close the report with thanks to the public for abstaining from loud noises when around the horses? The first sounds like poor judgement, and the second sounds like a contradiction. Commenters here are saying there were 4 horses (that they cite as matching symbolism) while some media reports say there were 5 horses. Where there are contradictions and inconsistencies in a report, the whole thing becomes doubtful.

I took a picture of the front page of the New York Times on the newstand, and at the time I did not notice any blood. It wasn't until the next day when I looked more closely at my picture, that I noticed that there was blood on the horse. So I think it's just something we didn't notice at first because the sight of riderless horses galloping through a capitol city is so spectacular in and of itself. I would've agreed with you if I hadn't taken a picture of the picture myself.
