Jan 6th 1997 was my first day and I was bricking it, there was no need to though, don't call any of your d.s mate, call them by their rank and that'll save you a load of corrective PT!!

Congrats, I did 17 Years ended up with a Med Discharge. Would I change anything? Yes, there were a few things looking back that I should have said Yes to. When you finish training and you are at your First Posting/Your Battalion/Regiment, then if you are offered the chance to do anything out of the ordinary Take it. I miss it everyday the lads the lasses, even the arsehole bosses you will come across and you will miss especially those bosses who know their stuff and work as hard as you do. So enjoy and take very opportunity for courses, AT, and Qualifications. They really are amazing days and they end too quickly.

you are so right about squaddies not getting enough recognition. they deserve just as much because without you guys the nhs would have buckled much earlier. super important and so many people are so grateful for you. keep up the amazing work🤍

No idea about Britain, but when I joined the US Army, it would have been a terrible idea to bring a guitar to Basic Training. I suggest you have it sent to you when you're at your first duty assignment or in job training (if allowed).

I’m serving RE and a commando hopeful, I was thinking I’d be really interested to see pt sessions on your page id definitely check them out, like ab sessions as well as Tabata stuff would be great to see.
