@@adeleozanne3427 As I understand it, the gold uniforms are worn when the Sovereign is present at the event. Hence the first Drum Major of the guards band dressing different to the band members. The band wearing gold is the Household Cavalry Band followed by the Horseguards (blue) and Lifeguards (red). On this occasion they are all demounted. You can see them on other You Tube videos wearing normal dress uniforms and riding horses, as well as on guard duty in Whitehall, at the entrance to Horseguards Parade.
