I'm a history buff but I've played so much Battlefield 1 that I've forgotten how slow these things actually were.

They sure were no race horses, but I don't think they were going full throttle.

@@okxtan2648 8km/h on the 4° gear, but on the video it moves at 1,5 to 2km/h...

True but it’s not going all out here

8kmh isn’t that slow. That is some very brisk walking. Slow running.

Those ball bearings in the turret ring must be must be lubed up to the max for the turret to move every time the tank turns :p

the English invented the tank, the French created the modern tank, it is a combination of idea, and design ... the result is there .. excellent for the era of ww1

This wonderful tank IS the template for all tanks - Brits got rid of their lumbering trapezoid messes real fast.
@joemaloney10192 жыл бұрын
Not true, the British tanks were beatifully designed for crossing trenches, the FT17 was a breakout tank. Both the French and the British built trench tanks for WW2 but the German blitzkrieg circumvented them.

@@joemaloney1019 Ok for crossing trenches but the French and already designed the tanks for the next war - a quick penetrating tank akin to the Panzer IV. If the British design were any good it wouldn't have vanished as fast as it did. The British recognized the superior design of the FT-18 'voila' Vickers Mk.E

To bring down the weight and a lack of strategic materials like steel/iron
