That annoys the bejesus out of me, Ian. A cover is a tribute, it's a musician saying they like an artist that you like, but you will always get muppets saying stuff like "You aren't X, don't try to be X!" It amazes me the will of instinct.

This remake saved my life. when I first heard it I was paralyzed and completely suicidal. I shattered the c4 in my neck in a wrestling accident. My upperbody was completely paralyzed. Had to relearn how to write and to use my hands... When it happened I was 190 lbs and dropped to 146 in 10 days... After a successful fusion and physical therapy im back to 100%. This song calmed me down on a night I didn't see any hope.... If it wasnt for Milky Chance covering this song and hearing it on the exact night I did. I may have made a permanent mistake for a temporary problem. Thank you Milky Chance/The pixes for the original. True artists never die. Thank you for your art.

One time when I was in high school I heard this song while I'd going through the corridors, then it stay in my head and one of my friends tells me that it was a pixies song so i looked for it and when I find it I lay down on my bed and just replay it 2737 times, it was describing exactly what I felt. This song help me and save me for real and what the hell that's make me sad and happy in the same time

They took the song, and changed it into something that's more theirs, and i think thats why i like it so much. They don't do the "I want to sound EXACTLY like ________" rout which i feel too many bands strive towards. They took the song and made it into their own. It reminds me a lot of Kurt Cobain's cover of "And i love her"

You really think this is a good solo? None of the bends is done clean and it seems like practised too many times. Not much emotion there. I can't say I can do it better (well maybe I can), but with this amount of skill, I'd never say, I want to play a solo in a song, that's probably reach millions! @Tobias It shouldn't be too hard to transcribe this one!
