Buzzfeed has a good generations video (really cool) and it made me ask friends from other countries how they view generations :) Not identical, but a friend had grandparents immigrate from Korea to the US. She volunteered with her church to help new immigrants, and was surprised by how her image of Korea is from 50-60yrs ago (inherited) but those young people her age remember modern Korea.
