im honestly surprised you did another reaction after "daddy". thank you for continuing with you Korn journey. Got the life hits on the drawbacks of being a celebrity. Hes "got the life" he always wanted, but it comes with a new set of drama, issues, and feeling like youve let a part of yourself go to be part of it. one of my favorite songs.

Glad to see you recovered from the last KoRn reaction. I've seen them a couple of times live and couldn't think of any line, Jonathan Davis sang without his trademark depths, emotion and exceptional intensity. Amazing artist.

I first found Korn back in 2007 and I remember finding their 2002 album *Untouchables* at a CEX store when they had cds for sales and at the same time of finding slipknot and their heaviest album to date *Iowa* ever since then I've been a huge fan of them and Jonathan Davis is one of my favourite singers and he inspired me to do different styles after learning to sing just like him, definitely check out more songs by them such as *Alone I break* & *Hollow life* 🖤🤘

Not only is this a great tune (I literally have "Got the Life" tattooed on me) but it has a really great meaning. My interpretation is that hes not happy with life and asks God why cant God give him a good life and God responds youve already "Got the Life". My take away is that you should really take a look at your life and be appreciative for the things you have and not complain about how you think your life is wrong.

Thanks for not pausing in annoying way! this song, was my favorite next to "falling away from me". i was between 10-14 with Korn. Limp bizkit, a few other got me into Meshuggah, Lamb of god, thy art is murder etc. I also loved techno, and was teased for it, because it was before it was cool. Either way imagine being somewhat of a kid and asking your parents to buy these CD's lol....

I kept this album in my CD player in my car for months straight. It's the only Korn album I ever bought as I grew out of them or just got burned out on them, but it brings back some great memories.

The intro is actually from a different song on the album, "It's On!" Which is also a great song, but there isn't a video for it. Also, I don't know if anybody has said this yet, but the bassist made a DVD where he shows you how to play this song.

im pretty sure you need very loose strings to get that scratching sound from the strings hitting the fred board. i love that sound from korn :D hes also slapping the strings. if your interested look up fieldy bass slapping. fieldy is the bass guy in korn.

The opening of the video was actually another KoRn track from this 1998 album 'Follow the Leader'... called "It's on" 🤘🔥 Yes, Reggie 'Fieldy' Arvizu (bass) of KoRn is a big hip hop fan... his funk style bass playing is a big part of the KoRn groove... 🤘🤘 Mudvayne is another band w/ a driving bass sound, courtesy of bassist Ryan Martinie... Check out their songs - 'Death blooms' ... 'Fall into sleep' ... 'Happy?' ... 'Not falling' ... 🤘🤘

Got a say......seen Fieldy do his bass jam many times live before his hiatus. He and JD did this wild thing where JD would slap the bass with him....OMG!!!!!! sure there's a live video somewhere but Fieldy is amazing. Ya know he did a solo thing..... BASSically

Yeah, every time that bass slaps, magic happens. Korn are the fathers of Nü Metal, and Fieldy (bass player) is a big part of their success. He influenced an entire wave of bands that soon followed the same sound. Fieldy is truly one of a kind 🔥

The video starts with the first Follow the leader's song, It's on!, a great song, too. I say always that the beginning of that album is unbeatable (It's on! - Got the life - Freak on a Leash - Dead bodies everywhere). For a live choice, I highly recommend, for example, Insane (Sirius XM Live). For a surprising one from a studio version, Tearjerker.

For ur goals: there are videos of the bassest teaching you how to plays this song in here. You can still practice the technique on a 4 string while u wait for the 5 string. It's mostly in the slapping hand portion that requires effort. Also, I'd recommend a "Multi-scale" style 5 string guitar. Look into it if you like, they are great reads.

Why waste money on a 5 string when you can just drop the tuning on a 4 string? I mean do what you want but it doesn't make much practical sense. Fieldy doesn't really do much on the upper register.
