@@AdventureEveryDay 38:51 What is that Road Sign with a Silver Triangle Upside Down? Cause in Europe we don't have something like this. Thanks! 😊🙏 P.S. By the way... Visitors to our community come from all over the world to experience Ouray in its entirety. Whether it's swimming in the Ouracy hot springs, hiking trails, learning about the Ute Indians and mining history, shopping on our unique Main Street or seeing wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls.I have visited Silvestron many times, it is a place you will enjoy again and again.Silvestron is a National Historic Ladmark , part of the San Juan Skway ( with the Millian Dollar Highway connecting Silvestron with Ouraya. In the nearby Weminuche Wilderness, Silvestron is a haven for hikers. We rode this 550 route passing Ironton, Red Mountain No.3 , Anwil Mountain, a route with minimal hills , calm with lots of beautiful views.Greetings from Chicago, Illinois.

Of the Hwy content I've seen on KZfaq, yours is the best yet. Stabilization and audio level are spot on. Are you using a helmet mounted system? At times the video is 90° to almost 180° from direction of travel. How are you pulling that off without wrecking? Passenger shooting? Sounds like a motorcycle, no pillars or bugs on windscreen. Great production! I watched your RMNP first and then 550 was in feed next.

Ya; you don't want to BLINK, let alone be distracted by a bee, cell-phone, or some sudden weather event, et c. With no railing, warning strips, and an unforgiving drop off, I'd say you're spot on, and there IS somethng to worry about. there are roads like this in Utah and Oregon, as well. Million dollar, as in "cheap."

Back in June 2019, And traveling from Silverton to Ouray, and when we reached 0:15 road, I said WOW look at these roads with no guardrails, and driving a class C rv, I told my wife , on the way back the drop is on your side, and she tells me you're going to have to find another road, I was so scared that I was driving 20 mph , at the RV Park I asked an rv'er How was your drive from Silverton to Ouray, He said I Took a different route. 😂

Definitely treacherous in a vehicle that large, can't blame you for being cautious! Glad you made it safely!

Hopefully, but it does close at times due to winter weather issues. Definitely want to check online before heading to the area specifically for this drive in case it’s closed. Hope it’s open for you when you come to visit!

The 160 in SW Durango? You could have continued on to Mesa Verde National Park, but I suppose that's for another day.

@@AdventureEveryDay Well, at any rate, this particular vid of yours . . . it's one that I'm bound to play over and OVER, again and AGAIN!! Along with plenty of other vids of yours. For example, the one of you doing the 120 to Yosemite, the Priest's Grades between Moccasin and Big Oak Flat. Compared to this stretch and the other side of the Pass between Ellery Lake and Lee Vining Meadows, the 120's elevational changes are actually rather subtle. I've traveled this stretch and more, in person, many times. Priest can and will trigger a whole lotta carsickness in fragile people.

Yes we definitely want to go back to Yosemite and see all the other amazing places in California and the western U.S. in general!
