Miguel Santiago Biblically, we are supposed to tithe 10% of what we own to the church. they tithed their 10% to outreach, this is correct. Not to mention, their personal tithe would go to their church to help fund it. They have one of the most popular worship bands out right now, they need the money to fund their concerts and albums. When it says "$9 mill. To church personnel" it's not just him and his wife. A church like that probably has over 200 employees on staff. My church has about 1,200-1,400 people come through the doors each month and we probably have 50 people on staff, half of which are probably volunteers.

Many years ago I went to a Buddhist church. They asked for donations but the major difference was if you walked up to the church head and asked for records they would be able to show where every penny went without fussing pretty much on the spot. And non of the leaders got paid.
