Millions of Venezuelans are fleeing the country and heading to the U.S. to escape political unrest and a rise in gang violence. The Biden administration announced a temporary protection status for Venezuelans to be able to work in the U.S.

Sorry I see where you're going with this but there's a bigger issue. They really aren't fleeing violence. That's the issue. Also those creating violence? They stay in Venezuela. Obviously. The women they asked said it plain, they are leaving for work and money. While there is violence and gangs that was not the first thing she said, nor is it their biggest concern despite this media piece making it seem as if they’re fleeing civil unrest. The US is allowing them in to depress wages and remove US worker leverage.

I have a vacation home in Mexico, to get a temporary residency card in Mexico I had to prove I wasn’t there to work. I had to show how much money I have in the bank.

They will end up working in the DC Virginia area through Latin ran temp agencies. New York construction companies will skip over the union workers and do business in the south, so they don't have to pay union pay rates and have migrants who are subcontracted to do the work for cheap. That's how it is already.

This is half true. I know Venezuelans. It isn't easy but it isn't UKRAINE. I don't think it's acceptable. I know more than a few Venezuelans that went to Colombia for example. Lived with a very good income and decided to come to USA and seek asylum. I don't think they expected what they have here in USA, since in Colombia you can live peacefully. Ecuador as well for example. Yet they are here. I don't think they are fleeing violence. From what they say they just want to make more money. Eat better foods. Y'all make it seem like Venezuela is in turmoil. From Venezuelans, that doesn't seem to fit the narrative.

I'm a 70 year old American, I'm afraid 9f parts of my own government, afraid of gangs in my city streets, and on a low fixed income fund it hard month to month. Can I seek protective status, receive free housing, food, medical, and anything else these illegals or receiving. We already send aide to Venezuela, why don't the people take advantage of that in their own country. Oh that's right we send aide to what we consider an illegitimate government. The USA cannot save the world, but we can save our own, if the government thought to do so!! It's time our government thought of the USA citizens!!
