These sort of inflammatory comments will not be tolerated on this channel - I fail to see how it would in anyway shape or form racist to say that you are proud of white women and how strong they are. There is nothing wrong in showing pride and appreciation of women no matter what colour they are. Your point is therefore invalid!

Who has an argument with someone after 4 months about saying “I love you”? You can’t force a person to fall in love with you until it naturally happens. It’s so sad to see someone feeling like they have to beg or force someone to love them.

Love is not obsession. As black women we need to learn that parenting black men is not love. Nor does giving affection equal reciprocation. Great film. Some really important issues addressed: such as the black girl making the remark about race to the lighter skinned female. This is so prevalent and unfortunately alot if racism exists in the black community from both sides

The films were made by young Director and Writer RM Moses and I am sure he would love to have been able to produce more of this story and make a series out of it but it requires a lot of time effort and resources. He is working on other projects at the moment so keep an eye out and hopefully this work will inspire others to tell these beautiful type of stories and break the stereotype. You always have to feel like you’re ‘enough’ before you expect others to feel like you are. It’s true what the girl in brown was saying when she was sat on the bed because guys do care about some superficial stuff like what a girl wears or how they look. I don’t understand the anger towards light skinned women though. It’s not a competition. We need to learn to love ourselves and not feel envious or be brainwashed into thinking light skin or skinny bodies or naturally curly hair is the only thing that is desirable or beautiful. It’s not even the truth, it’s just an ideology that is constantly being sold to us all. Women of all shades, sizes and ethnicities are desirable to someone but it starts with being confident with who you are.
@XQN-R
@XQN-R 4 жыл бұрын
Nu Journeys Counselling Ngl I agree with everything said until you mentioned competition. There’s always a competition in life. Depends on what you place of value in the competition. You can compete with yourself or others it’s your choice to do better or be better. The Art of attraction is based on competition. Between a man and woman, man and man or woman and woman. Someone is always in pursuit for something. Some people just have a fairer advantage due to the scales being uneven. Nothing is fair in the game of life until u die.

Of course you would loool. Let’s not lie her friend came at her sideways but you as person can change the narrative and not except the false glory guys give you. Most times guys that love light skins hate themselves will ultimately end up destroying yourself esteem. So be careful when u pick a guy that loves lighties. I’ve seen a relationship like that unravel like a piece thread because of those ignorant notions.

The light skinned struggle is real. After I heard that same speech from one of my friends, it made sense, but thats partially a cheap copout. I grew up fighting and being called names. I was always "White Boy" etc. but children don't consider preferential treatment and all that stuff. I was the minority, and looked like an easy target. Fast forward, my dark skinned, nappy headed, wide nose having "friend" made sense. If we two went for a job interview, me with my light skin, narrow nose and strait hair, I would likely be hired over him. But again, even dudes that don't even think about life in the strait world wanted to see me bleed. I was lucky enough to have travelled the world, and I saw racism/colorism in almost every country I visited. Especially in Middle and Eastern Asia.

Binzy Tata Im not talking about people who are mixed Im talking about light skinned people. Mixed people are two different races, light skinned people are people who are black but just have lighter skin. Whether your dark or light it doesn’t matter, you’re black if you’re black. Saying stuff like mixed are mixed and not black is what adds fuel to the fire of colorism and fetishism. It’s not the lightskin or mixed peoples fault that they endure what other people think of them, nobody’s telling them to have preferences, it’s not people of different complexions fault. Damn.
