This is it guys. Sometimes you’ve just got to admit it when you’ve messed up and right here you’re going to see me mess it up big time and pay the ultimate price for complacency off road - a rollover!
It’d been a long day but I’ve had worse, so no excuse there. This is a nasty bit of track in Landcruiser Park, you will see that better in the next clip when the lads were having to hang on to Milo 2 to stay on their feet. The track had received heavy rain for the previous few days, but once again, I’ve done worse and we’d already done the hardest bits!
This should have been the quick under control drive/slide to the bottom and then a short drive back to camp but that’s not what happened.
There’s also a few other things you can’t see on the little bit of footage at the end here and you’ll see some of those over the next couple of clips as we pull off a single winch recovery from a very difficult spot and then take the truck back to camp and sort it out enough to go again. What’s that? Wait and see. I made a mistake. When that happens you wear it on the chin and get back on the horse that bucked you. I guess we’re just lucky we could…
