"What you run and what you can run should be important decisions." Agreed. Conflict is a bit too "sandboxy" like Wasteland where everyone is a machine-gunner/AT/sniper. The arsenal, as it is now, has definitely instilled a lot bad habits within the community. This is why I run loadout restrictions/roles on my server to help enforce this.

And you should check out ironbeards server, the loadout restrictions does enforce that tactical, team-player dynamic more than the base game. Players are far more Conservative and thoughtful of their Ammo and roles and hold the lives of their teammates in higher regard. It is something I would like to implement into RCL. A lot of the were players from ELAN servers so they didn't really understand conflict fully and also how yo combat BTR's. You see a player next to that btr on the road below signal hill with a m60, never used it, clearly didn't know he could've penetrator the bar armour with it to kill the gunner. A lot of their issue was lack of experience frankly

Still, beated the shit out of them even with the bugged, impenetrable armour vest they were used by mistake. I must say that this was not intended to be used. They did not know it was bugged (I hope so). You are right; there were some unnecessary arguments at the end of the game, but please, have some respect for the players who tried to stay professional till the end. I assure you, even with lots of ELAN players, we dominated the game and would have retaken the hill many times. Once, I ran out of ammo up there because I needed to pour a magazine into every enemy due to the bugged armour. The use/not use BTR rule was a bit of a miscommunication. Personally, I was told at the beginning no BTR, no 40mm, and 5.56 ammo only. We all learned the lessons, and I`m sure the next game will be much better.

@kennethloewen8643 it's way way better. Looking forward to it hitting Stable. Ironbeard has a server on experimental atm with a interested conflict/capture and hold mix, the ai have been much more of a pain. It's great

But...serious games are not played in the GM. This just GM lol. Where are the briefing and tactics? Where is the one-life game? where is the lobby and the...comfortable spectator mode? If you're going to make a "real competitive league", you need to use the right things. @ReforgerLeague 🙄😎

@lazy_maxim1398 well lazy, only our 3rd match, we're learning as we go, learning from mistakes and mishaps. Yep, we use conflict, not GM, just GM is used to capture the match. The teams follow their tactics, and we watch it play out, we might do one life events at some point, but at the moment we're focused on developing competitive PVP within Reforger. At the moment there is no spector mode really, there is a modder who's working on it and I've spoken with him so once that's been further developed you'll see it. Arma vision is a bit limited, you can choose to show player names but sadly it removes the faction indicator on the player, so we're kind of forced at the moment to use GM mode so you can see who's part of which team. A faction indicator, whether that's an icon like in GM or we turn the player name red/blue to indicate it in Arma vision is something we want. I have brought it up with devs before starting the league, but I think it's something we're going to have to do ourselves. Regarding briefing, I agree, we need to do a better job initially briefing our audience wether that's in recorded edits or pre-stream. Again, we are very new, reforger isn't a complete product just yet, and there are some key things we need to properly showcase a good competitive PVP match for you all to thoroughly enjoy.
