@@helloterran The Korean war was basically a ground war. Not a Naval war. If the USA wanted to, they could have devastated Korea. Nothing left but ash and death. They didn't because of politics and starting a 3rd World War. So what's your point?

unfortunately, china still has a 2 million man army and a population of 1.4 billion who are now convinced they are going to be invaded.

The Chinese media is always touting that China prepares its troops for defense. But no one agrees with the news except the Chinese. China is trying to expand its influence to neighboring countries. China is having a territorial dispute with every country that borders. Most Southeast Asian countries are losing their maritime territory by China. The same goes for Korea and Japan. After Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asian countries will be China's next target. Chinese people should accept outside information, not just believe in the propaganda of the Chinese media. I hope China doesn't remain a country where only Xi Jinping and a handful of leaders have power. I hope that China will also become a country where the people are the owners. That's democracy.

I’m by far no expert on the U.S. Navy’s ability to defend the backbone of current naval warfare, but it seems to be aircraft carrier strike groups that have replaced the Battleship since World War I l , and It worries me that what happened to the Battleship during WWII, could occur again with new weapons being able to destroy the Aircraft Carrier Strike Force. It would seem that after 75 years our Navy has placed all its surface assets on our carrier ships, but can we protect our Carriers and assets that they possess? What, if any possible military assets have the ability to threaten our Carrier Force and what is the best way to defend them. Do we have options to use in the event of a loss of a Carrier and the aircraft it carries? Am I right to worry?

I don't trust the war game results 100%. It may sound funny, but in fact, the United States tends to overestimate its enemies in order to draw Congress' budget. Take a good look at the newspapers and materials. You'll understand what I mean.

China will not be a match for the United States, at least until the near future. The current power difference is much larger than known. The United States is hiding its power, while China tends to exaggerate.
