Reviewing the fairly new (I believe) Milwaukee 27 in 1 ratcheting screwdriver. Will be giving honest review of tool fresh out of packaging without using it once. I am also comparing it to other, similar Milwaukee models, as well a some similarly designed competitors products, like Wiha and Klein.

I have the stubby and I love it . The reason for the bit holder movement is to help access the bits easier

I got the Milwaukee 9 in 1 ratchet screwdriver. I don’t think this new model is gonna replace it. The Wiha is really awesome. This review makes me want to get Wiha now

Been working with mine for a month. Bang it around and the bits come loose. And if you drop it it opens up and spill the bits allover the place. Prefer the older one, get into areas where the screw is resect inside narrow openings. Like you have every bit needed for the job without carrying a bit holder for my M12 surge.

Have 3 and all 3 have the detent ball missing and none of the bits stayed in. Wish it was magnetic but maybe too much to ask for. Just need a tool that would work and stay together.

I see myself separating the extention and using it in my drill and then it's history lol

Don't use the trash extension that's not built for more arduous tasks. Just go ahead and buy the magnetic locking (like impact style locking) Milwaukee set. There's like a 4 and 8 inch versions or so. But it rocks and fits right in this and any other similar screwdriver. Plus better bit retention and magnetic still :)! And you can just take it out and put it right in your drill lol

On mine old ratcheting screwdriver I put the bits upside down, but the lettering facing forward so I could tell which is which, then I could just push them down with my thump

Looking at the 14 but vs 27 bit. The 14 might be better simply because its not a double sided bit. So the shank is magnetic. Any other but you wish to use you can buy in a regular shockwave box. Build quality probably the same though. But you don't need all them bits anyhow.

I wonder if the tip is magnetic. That would make it that much better. Close to perfect.

It’s a screwdriver, not a new car purchase. It works for me. Too much analysis for sure.

I have the 15 in 1 from Klein and I was hoping this Milwaukee would replace it haha

That bit holder for the extension is so weak. I can shake it off, it has came off multiple times while grabbing it. Would return it but not worth the shipping. I think ima just super glue the bit holder in 😢

Yea it’s real unfortunate. They could’ve had a pretty solid product here but just fell short with using cheaper material and poor build quality in certain areas. Shame.
