When using this tool make very sure the cable is running underneath and in line with the staple magazine. The guide is approximately 5mm in front of where the staples actually fire. If your cable runs sideways after it passes through the guide you will hit the cable. This also limits the tool in confined spaces. If the staple goes through the cable be prepared to spend way more time on the job than this tool would save you. Note - depth, width are not adjustable. You have to buy Milwaukee staples to use the tool. There is only 1 size staple - not sure if that will change in future.

I’ve got one, personally I love it, there are some flaws and I’ll list them, first is it’s not great with hardwood, it’ll work, but the cable can slip through very easy, it’s supporting the cable not hugging it. Into any medium to soft woods it’s awesome, grips the cable perfectly so it doesn’t move, but can be manipulated. It’s also easy to use and super fast, but you do have to be careful of not shooting through the cable, but that’s operator error not the tool. And very rarely is it too clunky to get into small spaces. Also you can control the force/pressure of the gun with the pressure sensors on the front. Overall 8/10

I’m surprised it seems to struggle with hardwood. I have an old house with old growth wood everywhere and it always requires pre drilling holes for any staples or nails. Always. The wood might as well be petrified. This likely would not be better.

I mean this as a constructive critique, but this video was kinda painful watch. When you said "there is some negatives about it" my interest was sparked, since I wanted to understand the downsides and the reviews I've seen so far have been glowing. First negative was it "kinda heavy", it's less than 5 pounds, far less than a framing nailer. Second negative was "can we use any ordinary staples?". What does that even mean? Did you expect it to use loose staples from any manufacturer? If you were to design the staples, would you hand feed loose staples one at a time into the stapler? Their staples are only 2.6 cents each which is a negligible difference compared to loose staples. Late in the video, you held the stapler at like a 30° angle to the wire, then said "if you get a LITTLE bit of an angle" and you shot it through the wire. I would say the one valid negative brought up in the video was that it can have issues in tight spaces. I think your video would be more constructive if it didn't refer to the things as "negatives" but rather just point out things about the tool.

I think the point he was trying to make was it only works with Milwaukee staples. As in proprietary. Not loose. Not sure if that’s true with DeWalt too, but I don’t want to be locked in to single brand proprietary solution, unless that becomes the industry standard, like Arrow’s T50 crown staples did. Gonna pass for now. Maybe as a rental for the few times I am gonna use one, though.

Can't find a solid answer, so I'll ask here. Does this stapler fire without a wire underneath? Or do you need to be on a wire like the DeWalt?

You can fire it with no wire underneath.

I’m surprised. I was really excited for it in those tight spaces. Admittedly I don’t do much residential work but you really don’t like it in low access spaces over a sideways hammer? I figured you could use a hand through the handle hole holding the bottom against a stud and just used a finger from your other hand to trigger the gun. Kinda like a barrel grip jig saw hold over a d-handle hold.

Sadly, it doesn’t work in tight areas. I will take my chances and anger using a hammer sideways. Than highly risking putting a staple through a wire. 😎

'Wonder if this is better than dewalt cable staple gun. 'Sold my dewalt staple gun 'cause I was not happy of the tightness of the cable, especially harder wood. I end up using a hammer most of the time to nail the cable.

I have used this in an older barn. It’s like 50/50 with this. Depends on the wood. I would be going good for a while then get 4 in a row where I would have to hit in the staple with a hammer. It was some dense old beams. I was actually surprised it just didn’t shoot it sideways.

I think I would ruin less wire with with the gun. I can only hit a staple with a hammer 6/10 times in ideal conditions. In awkward positions the wire is trashed by the hammer before the staple is driven.

I just wouldn’t use it in tight spot. Hammer might save the wire. 🤷‍♂️
