The Milwaukee M18 FUEL compact trim router 2723-20 (bare tool) has been one of the most anticipated Milwaukee cordless tools for several years in a row now. Finally it'll be here and looks to be an extremely capable unit. Launching with the options for additional Plunge Base 48-10-5601 and Off-Set Base 48-10-5602 this should be an extremely versatile tool for shop or jobsite.

Was Rob trying to break it at the end or just didn’t notice that he was at the end of the pieces?

What were the extra components on that table? Straight edge guide? Do those 3 things he mentioned come with the bare tool purchase ( I am not talking about the plunge base and offset) any pics of that stuff on the table?

We didn't see it or the plunge base but they are part of the system coming by year end. Not sure if they'll be kits or add-on accessories.

These routers are more like a trimmer I don't have extraction port on my makita router but it could be put in as they have one on their multi tool and that tight for space!

Yes the plunge base is coming a few months later (they said November) as an accessory, likely have a kit with both base options as well.

I'm a site joiner I have a full M18 set I can honestly say Milwaukee is crap only good thing is the 3 year warranty. My planner broke 3 times, multi tool 2 times, both cordless drills and at the moment my jig saw is away getting fixed I won't release the blade.

geoffreyedhamilton Look into Makita. I was a rep for them and they have the best battery technology and they are a engineering company who makes tools. I’ve worked for HILTI, Hitachi, and also Makita. Not one company makes the best of everything, but Makita is a great product

Hello, I'm not going to say anything bad about this router, it's a trim router after all... The the last user in this video held his hand down low as one should, but ac soon as he put his hand in top too he lost control... It shows me he's not experienced with trim routers. If you hold any trim router from the top using a standard small sub base that will cause it to tilt/tip... Porter-Cable made the first true real two handed router in the base. It had two knobs on both lower sides of the full size 1001 base... The PC 2902 19.2 volt Sill has a place and use in my Tool Arsenal... Actually I have 4 of them... Greg

Will the base take screw in bushes for template work like hinge jigs etc? My Makita corded laminate trimmer has a 37mm round recess that takes the metric bushes ?

From my experience with my Milwaukee M18 range I would advise everyone to stay well clear. I have a good range of M18 and had nothing but trouble with them. I wish someone advised me not to buy before i handed over two grand.

geoffreyedhamilton I am wondering what has gone wrong. I can’ t kill my tools and I have been working with a group of tradesmen who all use m18 tools with no problem. I have killed 2 12v tools.

@@evilsimeon my uncle has the M18 range as me the only problem he's had is the multi tool burnt out and the chuck on has drill stopped tightening. When I ask the sales man why my tools have had so much problem like burning out, trigger and switch's not working? His reply "you just got unlucky" I've still got 18 / 20 months left on my 3 year warranty that's been the only saving grace.
@evilsimeon
@evilsimeon 5 жыл бұрын
geoffreyedhamilton I guess I am lucky aside from 2 m12 failures. I want the multi tool but I am going to ask around some more. Good luck and you should have a 5 y warranty.
