1st thing the mikata saw is about 4 years older than the super saw 2nd thing no 1 goes to work to build muscles if u have a lot of cutting to do its better to have a lighter note comfortable tool that way ur arms don't get tired as fast plume with the vibration the super saw vibrants way more with feel funny and makes ur hand cramp up after a while 3rd the reason y the makita has the 2 batteries is cause any person that works with makita already would have the batteries u won't have to go out and buy a big heavy costly battery and even with 2 batteries in the saw its still lighter and the cut timing isn't that far apart even for a 4 year differents between the 2 tools The super saw front holding area is so bulky that if u don't get a firm grip on the tool it could be dangerous especially a tools that vibrants that much 4thly makita also have the Djr187z with carries a single battery and still sits the best in its class even tho its 4 years old So I would say who needs a dozer if when u go home in the evening ur arms r shot?? And u feel like u been in the gym while at work I say work smarter not harder😬👍

I've never used the Makita so I cannot judge it , however from what I watched I wouldn't feel undergunned with it either...but...I do not like the two battery idea all that much. Now with that being said everyone knows that I'm a Milwaukee guy through and through....I bought this Milwaukee saw for two reasons..1..I wanted it and 2 I got a killer deal on it. I thought that it would be the end all be all of sawzalls...but I was very wrong. I find myself grabbing the regular fuel model or even my very old and we'll used brushed saw because unless you are demoing a house or old deck it gets heavy quick....it does have a shit ton of power but the other two saws are a little more user friendly. I'm not complaining about the super sawzall because it has its place but be prepared to put on your man panties if you plan on you using it all day above your head. Anyhoo sorry about the long winded post....great informative vid brother...

I absolutely think the 2 battery concept is great you can buy twin pack battery’s for $160 vs $250 most of the time for 12ah take one of the makita battery’s put it in 1 of your smaller tools keep the weight down on the smaller tools when you don’t need the bigger battery nice ! And a dual battery charger will charge faster than it will take you to charge one bigger battery I have used both I personally do not see it as detrimental and if one of the older battery’s goes bad just replace one less expensive battery guess it’s all in the way you look at it .

I have Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Makita battery powered tools. All are workhorses but there’s something that sets Makita apart….User Friendliness and Comfort. The battery on the Makita is Far easier to pop out than it’s competitor’s. Smoothness is another difference. Makita is more for the everyday user in most cases. My Dewalt sawzall works good but is vibration hell to use.

Nice video. I'm not biased at all because I own both Milwaukee and Makita tools. They're both great brands and they both have their pluses and minuses. So I own the Milwaukee cordless super sawzall and I will confirm, it is a beast! But, it is heavy as hell and very bulky. Trying to cut rigid pipe with it where you're trying to hold the saw with one hand and the pipe and press down on the saw with the other hand like I used to do with the corded sawzall is just impossible. Way too heavy and too big to control using the methods that I've used for many years as an electrician. I also own the Makita 18 volt sawzall and I have to say, due to the weight and size, it's as pleasure to use. The specs are very similar (speed and blade stroke length) but it's just so much more comfortable to use and easier to control. My one other comment is, I think you should compare the 18 volt Makita XRJ05Z to the Milwaukee Fuel sawzall. Both are 18 volts. Both don't have the orbital action, and the specs are nearly identical. Big Red might have a slight advantage using a 8.0 HO red lithium ion battery but if you use either a 5.0 ah battery in both (although I think Makita now makes a 6.0 battery too, just like Milwaukee has) it would be a pretty close race. You really can't go wrong with either tool. They're both well made and great tools. The one other comment I have is the chargers. Makita makes a great dual port battery charger that charges 2, 5.0 ah batteries simultaneously in 45 minute. That is a great feature. I know Milwaukee just came out with a dual port battery charger that also charges both batteries simultaneously but it's expensive as hell and takes longer to charge the same size battery as the Makita. So even though Milwaukee has more battery options, I really like the Makita battery charging system and simpler batteries. Plus I've had Makita batteries last me over 8 years. I've never had that longevity with Milwaukee batteries and can testify if anything I've had some Milwaukee batteries fail on me after just 2 or 3 years of not very heavy use. So to me, I give an edge to the Makita battery and charging system. Sorry for the novel, but just wanted to share my opinion. Great job though. I love watching the head to head comparisons.

@David M. I agree with your opinion about the Makita charging platform. It's my main cordless platform. I also have Dewalt, Milwaukee (12V) and Ridgid (12V and 18V). Dewalt is the worst when it comes to chargers. They sell so many 18/20V chargers. Some of the chargers I can't use with their higher AH batteries. And I'm suppose to keep track? Makita sells most of their kits with either a single bay or dual (simultaneous) bay rapid charger that are FAN cooled for cooling both the batteries and the charger (designed that way) at no extra charge! I mean I don't have to buy them separately like Milwaukee. Dewalt just began selling some of their kits with a singe bay rapid charger. No serious gripes with my Makitas. Keeping the LiIon batteries cool extends their life, especially when charging. Hope you and your family stay safe and well.
@El_Diablo_LI

Thanks for your reply. I have a lot of Rigid cordless tools too. I have seen, but don't have the regular Rigid sawzall but I have the Rigid Mega max tool set that has the Inter changeable heads including the sawzall head. It's a good tool too but not quite up to Milwaukee or Makita performance or longevity. I also used to own (still do but can't get the batteries) the Rigid 24 volt tools if you remember them. The batteries wouldn't even last a year. The tools were good but if the batteries suck, what's the point? I only recently started getting back into the Milwaukee brand again (since spring 2019) because their tools do perform well, but the jury, to me at least, is still out on battery performance. Time will tell I guess. But from my experience the Makita batteries and charging system is just plain awesome!

I prefer Makita becuase the 12.0 battery takes over an hour and a half to charge, and a pair of Makita 6.0 batteries can charge in 45 minutes simultaniously on the same charger. Milwaukee makes great tools and so does Makita, but having to buy an additional 12.0 battery instead of running the 6.0 batteries that i already have is a drawback. At my tradeschool we have a six bay Milwaukee charger and it charges them one at a time. Also my pair of 6.0 batteries were a little cheaper than a 12.0 milwaukee. Dont’ get me wrong Milwaukee is great i just prefer the Makita battery system as well as some of their corporate ethics. I have used Milwaukee a lot although i do not own any.

The majority of the people voting for milwaukee is because patriotism.... The fact is, makita tools are just so much comfortable to use and better build

I always try for Made in the USA & I'm from Canada.... Learned over the years that Made In USA hand tools are pretty good & not so hard to source. Most of what Channellock, Wilde, Wright et make serve my needs perfectly. As for power tools, I'm a bit biased to Makita & Hitachi (Hikoki or now Metabo HPT), but I like some of the DeWalt stuff like Corded Saws. That's not to say Makita does everything perfectly, they got some awful nailers. You just gotta feel what's good & steer clear of the bad stuff.

Milwaukee is good until they burn up which dont take long they are made in China shit Idk where y'all think it's made in usa.. makita is way more reliable then Milwaukee.. Milwaukee just markets themselves better in the US

@@bigboy815s I mainly use Makita and a lot of their stuff is now also made in China . That said , Makita is the only independent manufacturer and China isn’t what it used to be meaning , China can make some great shit as they have the tools and knowledge but if it’s from China and crap that’s what the manufacturer is paying them to make

I believe Milwaukee is owned by a Chinese parent company, TTI. This is pretty undesirable, for me.

MAKITA Built better Less vibration Better ergonomics Lighter Batteries charge faster Vast Makita 18v/36v line-up. When you buy a Makita, you better like it because you will have it for 10 years...minimum.

Too bad Milwaukee isn't an American owned company anymore(so I've read). I'm pretty sure some Chinese company bought the rights to the name. So its made in China and foreign owned. They are just riding the reputation of a once great a American company. Ill not buy any more Milwaukee tools, and I own several. At least Makita, though now made in China, is owned by the same company that started the name.

It's a Hong Kong-based company. And they've been under TTI for like 16 or so years, so this is nothing new. And Makita makes stuff all over the world. They have UK, US, Japan and China manufacturing/assembling facilities. They've had Chinese-made products since the 80s, so that's not really new either.

@@SandcastleAndy yea your right about the shoe against the workpiece but the shoe pivots so even though hes rocking the saw the shoe is still staying against the workpiece.
