Perhaps the best chop vs attack game I’ve seen in 5-10 years. First two sets you think how brilliantly Hitomi Sato is playing, especially her attack. But by the end you realise just how good Mima Ito is against backspin. And how well she can adapt to the unexpected. Some incredible points. Bravo both players.

I swear Hitomi Sato gets better with every game she plays. Excellent performance, but Mima Ito is one of the greats, and is an especially effective counter against defenders. Very well done, onto the next open!

I have to say the great player makes his/her opponent even better, Ito is a very creative player, same applies to Sato, look at her attacks from her backhand with long pimple.they are challenging Chinese players already, I believe that they will have very good performance in the forthcoming Olympics. Even though I am Chinese but i have to admire the gift of these very young players of Japan.

Though i like Mima as a player, I personally love to see Sato's style of play. It is just so satisfying to watch.

In general, choppers tend to get better and better with the game. The fact that Ito managed to come back from 0-2 to 4-2 just shows how insanely strong she is! Congrats to Ito!

My goodnes, firs four sets were really too tight. Amazing ataccking and defending, amazing tactics and definitely so much enjoyable points to watch. Kudos to both sides.

One of the reasons I like watching Hitomi play is that her versatile style. In addition to her high frequency of backhand attack, she even made a backhand topspin loop at 9:31 which is rare for choppers!

個人的な印象としてどんな選手も球質がほぼ反対な佐藤選手と橋本選手のどちらかに強くどちらかが苦手である場合が多いと思うが、伊藤選手は佐藤選手のボールに対しては苦手意識はなさそうである。最近各オープンでよく当たるこの2人だが、佐藤選手は伊藤選手にほぼ慣れられてる中、毎大会作戦を変え食らいついていっているのが0-4では終わらない(なんなら先制している)ということに現れており、とても感動する。

Sato uses pimple out rubber for her backside. What a fantastic defensive player and she can attack like Joo se hyuk.

佐藤瞳是近几年难得一见的具有反攻技术的削球手，但总是内战遇到ito，不过这场佐藤瞳战术上也是有了变化，居然能赢得两局，ito对于削球手的张弛有度的打法值得每个人学习

unless your opponent have trouble handling spins, it's really hard for choppers to win. their only way to win is to hope opponent make a string of mistakes out of frustration countering the spin when they're behind in score. defensive game is just not going to cut it when you face good offensive players who can run you from corner to corner.

What an entertaining match! Best woman side match Hungarian Open has to offer! I would say that Hungarian Open organizers warmly invite Ito again that surely boosted up Hun Open prestige n help boost more audience attend next year, many more Hung People should come to watch!. The chopper was so well performed n that is what chopper should do why she earned a match with world number-3, after defeating all other players up to now, but when the chopper met the wold nmbe-3, it is not an error in the ranking, cz Ito is VERY good or excellent table tennis player indeed!! But, Ito is so good n very few players can beat her. Both well-done n Ito figured out after 2-sets down how to handle her own colleague's combo attach chop n attack when the opportunity arrives plus chopper crated attack when it was possible! Well done both n esp congratulation to Ito n Ito would be "high contender in VERY GOOD, I believe the highest amongst table tennis high pay-out planum table tennis Quater Open, though I have not seen Chines (likely suspend so far) n Japanese planum prize money amount compared 2 Quartar Open, Ito would likely go likely semi-final for sure n she will receive very good amount of prize, which she deserves when n if she, ITO, goes to semi n Ito going into final is also possible! I like Ito's playing style, including curved serve in small sized table she crated serving motion try not to be preditabe which side she is serving. Cannot guess near 90 percent until the last minute! USA

That why defenders need to attack more on their forehead, not just slow forehand loop but actual aggressive forehand topspin and maybe a backhand pimple drive maybe chop block/Fade or twiddle a do backhand aggressive topspin and lastly tactics playing against attacker maybe chop short with heavy backspin or light backspin and use variations of forehand chop or backhand chop with back-side spin chop

I remember one victory for Wu Yang. I think it was Chinese super league. Wu Yang doesn't usually show her feelings, but it was the happiest I've ever seen her look.

Defensive players often get better as a match wears on, since it becomes easier to deal with the topspins of the attacker after awhile. That was not anywhere close to the case here. Ito is just too consistent and aggressive, once she gets hot.

Sorry for U, at the LEAST you SHOULD BE fluent in Japanse AND relocated to Japan, after saving up your money, unless you have skill that can get job anywhere, and live Japan is the ONLY viable way to learn Japanese MUCH faster n so without that "just wishful meaningless words" BEFORE U dreaming about marrying ITO! NOT likely unless Ito retires n she will retire when she starts losing, but I think it won't be 5 more years where she, Ito can earn VERY good money, as ALL Prize money is paid in US dollar, global currency we all know n WHY should she, Ito give up as long as she can save up for her comfortable retirement in US dollar that will stretch 100 times in Japanese Yen where she, Ito, will most likely retire n she will have very good comfortable retirement money plus such excellent player, Ito would NOT have hard time to find her future husband, he will know he will be marrying financially well off wife (!), who would NOT likely care about her, Ito, small height where tall guys see her short height as "cute" little wife!
