They had been working on a different song for months for the finals performance but were unable to get it cleared in time for use outside of Japan, so they had about four days to change music and choreograph the finals performance for AGT. Amazing.

doesn't the winner(s) go on tour? It feels like they didn't win partly because of the logistics of planning a tour for so many dancers that have to be SO in sync. It seems impossible.... But IMO, they should've won.

They made it look deceptively simple but, oh my, their choreography is really challenging to pull off, let alone synchronizing with that many people.

Totally agree, as someone who does creative choreography in a different style of arts, Im amazed by what this group accomplish in their performances. Not a single beat of music is wasted, the uniforms are used all for effect and the way that you see something new with every watch I love too, the impressive bit is where you have sections doing different things so that the unison sections have more impact. its perfection, and I read somewhere that these girls are amateurs, which is even more impressive.

Omg, no one smacking their ass cheeks together, no one half naked, just super technical, highly choreographed movements. This was such a refreshing style and super fun to watch. Ive been replaying their performances for at least an hour now.

Well, to be fair, that they were formed in February 2022 is the most information ive found about their past. Since Akane worked with a lot of female groups maybe they were hand picked to form Avantgardey, idk...

1:01 to 1:15 in the first dance is the most amazing thing I've ever seen in dance. I love the change in tempo from slow dancing moves to a sudden audacious dance. I have watched this part in the video like hundred times in the past hour and it never gets old. Love these girls

I wish the audience understood what the lyrics mean because most of their moves literally describe and follow the lyrics! Like 0:50 the lyric says "Somehow I'm having a heavy sigh." and you see their dance again : )

Really great dance group. I watched their shows over and over again. Fantastic. Japan is also a fantastic culture. We had , sweeto Candy, in y childhood from Japan. And shogun the serial. Kind of admire to them.

私もそう思います。しかし、見ようによっては、動画の最後に披露されているＡＧＴファイナリストによるパフォーマンスを見たら、シンデレラハネムーンの曲に乗ってアバンギャルディを中心にして全体構成と演出がなされています。つまり実質的な優勝者はアバンギャルディだったのではと思います。

Their movements are truly amazing and the same no matter who you look at. The dances so far are amazing and of very high quality. It takes a lot of practice, but the girls who do it and dance are truly amazing.

I hope people know that it’s not just the technique and precision but the choreography and storytelling of each song which shines. For instance, the second song which is about falling in love with an ‘idol’ with all its flashes and mirrors, 3:53 lyrics says ‘you’re the next incarnation of the first star’, implying in a pretty cynical way there will always be the next…I love that at this part, the middle girl is suddenly replaced with someone from the side, perfectly portraying the story of the song. Love avangarde, and Akane-san who’s the mastermind of these pieces.
