The house of ‪@AcquadiParmaOfficial‬ is a brand that I never gave a fair chance to in my fragrance journey. And although I'm a grown man I allowed my frag com peers to cloud my judgement and quite possibly make my mind up even before I sampled the fragrances for myself. Listening to people say this fragrance doesn't last or the performance is terrible and I just gave in and stayed away. However, I have owned two full bottles from the brand in the past and yes the performance on my skin wasn't the best but Essenza was a whole other story. Moderate performance, stellar scent profile and actually transported me to places I've never been transported to by a fragrance before. This fragrance is very citrusy, floral without being seen as feminine along with some woods and is also very aromatic. To me it has almost a fougere aspect to it that I absolutely love. very good review..Acqua di Parma is one of the best colognes for men out there .period..they have great scents,like Essenza,leather,oud ,i think..they are just great for spring summer..yes they dont overnight,like LV Orage,etc,,they are ephemeral perfumes..they last for some time,short,less than 6 hours in my case,depending of your skin,but dam,they are sublime and boost your confidence level 100%..so njoy

Loved the stuff from day one. But besides that magnificent citrus opening, it's old lady floral fabric softener all the way. 🤣 Absolutely a floral musk. Ferrari's Bright Neroli is far more orangey and citrusy, but a good test for Essenza. If someone doesn't like the Ferrari, it's likely they won't appreciate this one. I might recommend Intensa instead for a more modern, incensey take.

This is why I'm on my sample journey. I've made several blind biys that didn't turn out well. Now I take fragrance reviewers recommendations with a grain of salt. At the end of the day fragrances are subjective.

That’s something I had to learn the hard way also. And not every reviewer is going to tell you the truth especially when they’re mostly receiving a ton of free bottles from companies. Most will tell you anything to keep the flow of supply coming. I also learned to utilize sites like @luxsb and @royaltyscents for my samples. Especially the expensive niche ones.

They don't all have to be beastmode, but if I'm paying US $100 and above, I will NOT accept anything less than 7 - 8 hours

I never understood this, why does anyone need a fragrance to go over 6 hours, do you spend your whole day out?

@dinopalavra876 It doesn’t have to but most of us feel like in order to get your money’s worth then we need something other than it just smelling good. Especially when spending anything over a certain amount such as $100 and up. You can’t explain this to someone who only knows expensive fragrances when it comes to just wanting to smell good. If that’s the case then a good cheapie should suffice rather than buying high end designers or niche.

This is classic scent, sadly I would not say its modern one. I was going to buy it blind and I'm glad I ordered a sample. To me it smells like more intense version of cologne that my grandad used. I don't mean in a bad way but it's so outdated. As a guy in my 30s I would deffinetly not wear it. I would place it together with Ysl Kuros. And deffinetly try before buy.

I just got one. I listened to so many reviews about it. Everyone says its great scent etc.. I personally cant get over it. It smells like 80 year old grandfather who is just about to die. Its disgusting. How can you put this over Fico Di Amalfi? Fico is one the best scents I ever smelled and Essenza makes me feel like throw up

I put it over fico because it’s my personal experience and preference just like you love fico. Their is always going to be someone somewhere that’s not going to like what you like and that’s ok. Fico smells good but on me it doesn’t last which is a deal breaker for me. I also understand that not everything has to last 88 hours 🤣 but for me to feel like I didn’t get cheated there has to be something more than just a good smell. Thanks for sharing your experience though. It’s greatly appreciated.

@@thefragrantlife14 Thx for your reply. I sprayed Essenza once again on my hand after the shower and it starts to grow on me but I still don't know if I am gonna keep it. You're right Fico does not project for long, maybe 2 hours on me but it stays on my skin for 5-6 hrs which is enough for me. Fico smells just like paradise:) This is the type of scent that I purely spray just for myself, to feel great:)
