I always laugh when shows in the west think that a performance like Dynamite (nothing against Dynamite performance) is amazing and "out of this world" when every ARMY knows that THIS is the standard for BTS in korea.

Tae = Apollon God of the Sun, Jin: Athena = God of War Jimin = Artemis: God Of the Moon Twin of Apollon , both have the same earing. Suga= Hephaestus God of the Fire JK= Poseidon God of the Water Jhope = Zeus God of Thunder RM = Dionysus God of Wine... The lights are the Corona Borealis a necklace (crow) he gifted is wife Ariadne.

6:50 Jimin was a top student at his school and majored in contemporary dance so HE can do that. He started dancing young doing hip hop and popping and then majored in contemporary but learnt all sorts of styles of dance in school.

The first one performe is V (taehyung), and then Jin on the trojan horse, Jimin on the contempory dance, Suga on fire, Jungkook on water, Jhope on the laser dance show, and the last one is RM the leader of BTS.. it's all just the intro of the epic performance of dionysus..it's epic!

Dionysus is on the albums Map of the soul:Persona and Map of the Soul:7 albums and was inspired by Carl Jung’s theories on Individuation. Jung believed Dionysus was the connection btwn persona-shadow-ego (see writing of persona-shadow-ego on wall in RM intro Persona Performance). Dionysus=focus on the individual (in jung’s terms), therefore I.e. each member got a solo stage. Each members’ solos represented the Mythological archetypes - Taehyung: Apollo, Jin: Athena, Jimin: Artemis, Suga: Hephaestus, Jungkook: Poseidon, JHope: Zeus, RM: Dionysus. Research and the horses and maidens onstage are all tied to Dionysus. The 7 lights when joined forms The Crown of Ariadne (named after Dionysus’ wife and after she died he made it into a constellation, known to us as the Corona Borealis).

There were horses on the stage before they entered because it’s a royal thing!back in the days (in Asia) before the king entered they played the trumpet like thing and then all the army generals came in with their horses and then the king entered THATS WHAT THEY DID! OUR 7 KINGS

I first heard BTS during the pandemic. I was turning 66 and depression was setting in. They made me feel like a teenager again I got up off the couch and danced my ass off, I lost 89 pounds. I love them. I haven't found a bad song. Love your show!

I've seen this performance so many times and the end of never gets old to me..... However I can't help thinking how EXHAUSTED the boys probably felt after this. Like staff carrying them after they got off stage.

I strongly suggest that you watch another award show that turns to a mini concert of BTS were they were just guest performers tha MAMA 2018. I guarantee that it will blow your mind again with the performance of this guys. BTS always needs a gigantic stage to let them perform and do their best give everybody a performance as if there's no tomorrow. BTS is BTS and only BTS can do what they are doing. Please do react on MAMA 2018.

This was mental ! and all of this have meanings like the song is called Dionysus, it's the god of wine in mythology, all or their solos represent a different god with lots of symbols i can't remember And the 7 lights at the end represents the constellation associated with Dionysus which is the crown he gifted to his wife. When i discovered all of that I was like, ok they are on another level 🤣

I think a lot of people forget after the first few minutes that this performance, the full program (your two videos together) was for an AWARDS show. This is the standards BTS has set for themselves and everyone who comes after them. Any wonder that American awards shows waited so long to let them perform? Even in the few minutes they get for US awards shows they blow everyone out of the water. Imagine what they could do if they were given the 15-20 minutes Taylor Swift got or the Grammys instead of a 3 minute slot!

FUNFACT:- The one in the white solo dancing with a piece of cloth [Jimin] is actually a contempeproy dancer before joining BTS Jimin was the top student of the prestigious Busan Highschool of art. When he said that he was going to be an idol his teacher's said and I quote "The world of contemporary dance, is going to loose an amazing dancer."

There names are:- RM, Leader, rapper, producer - he was the one with the staff at the end. JIN (oldest), vocalist, visual - the one on the horse. SUGA, Rapper, producer - one with the fire background. J-hope, dance leader, rapper, producer - danced to Fake Love with laser light. JIMIN, vocalist, dancer - all in white contemporary dancer. V, vocalist, dancer, visuals - dancer with circus acrobats. JUNKOOK (youngest member), main vocalist, dancer, sub rapper (on older songs) - dancer in water. I guess you may know that but easiest way to tell them apart 🙂💜

I remember one of the first videos I saw, it was the SBS performance practice for 2013 in the performance Suga isn’t in the video because of his operation for his appendix, it is their dance teacher who are doing his part. Another is their intro performance to Danger 2014 on MBC 20141231 shown live, big hit did the video to show how the camera was supposed to be, because the camera was all over the place so you couldn’t see that well their performance. That’s why it’s shown in three different camera angles. Also watch their other performance they done on the different award shows even the fancam of the other artist on gda 2018/2019 not sma wrote wrong, then they did the idol performance they got the hole stage to vibrate. That did happen on tour also the personal needed to stabilise and hold the stage for one of their idol performance. Also watch their collaborations performance with other artists ex on mama 2014 with Block B, Vixx and 2pm on KBS 2014, Re: On Soul on Music Bank in Mexico 2014.

I became an ARMY on 2019 after I watched their Boy with Luv MV. Ive heard of em before that, but i didnt think to watch them back then. But once i watched them, i fell in love with their looks, then their dancing and later as i watch them more and more, i fell in love with their personality. Its crazy how they keep being humble despite their very successful route in music. I will be an ARMY for the rest of my life 💜

this performance not only spectacular, but also symbolic the theme of the album released in 2019 was somewhat connected to the greek mythology. before the "Dionysus" part itself (the last song of the performance) every member had a solo performance with some of remixes of their biggest songs over their seven years, each member represent a god or goddess • V (Taehyung), No More Dream Remix (2013), Apolo, god of the sun 3:56 • Jin, DanGer (2014). Athena, goddess of wisdom and war, or Ares, god of war. stage point to the battle of Troy and the Trojan Horse 5:00 • Jimin, I Need U (2015), Artemis, goddess of the moon and twin to Apollo 6:12 (at 21:16 you can see that Jimin and V have the same choreo, because their gods are twins) • Suga, Fire (2016) Hephaestus, god of fire, or Hades, god of the underworld 7:28 • Jungkook, Save Me (2016), Poseidon, god of the sea 8:46 • J-Hope, Fake Love (2018), Zeus, god of lightning and thunder 9:52 • RM, Dionysus (2019), Dionysus himself, 11:04, god of wine and art, complete with thyrsus - wooden wand entwined with ivy and grape leaves, a symbol of prosperity, fertility, hedonism, and pleasure/enjoyment in general, it's compared to a mic. As BTS compare wine to the art in the song, they are Dionysus of music industry, the gods of music and dance, who gift their listeners freedom, food for thought and a helping hand to be strong and be better seven lights that were hanging down formed the Corona Borealis - the constellation that represents the crown of Ariadne, given to her before the marriage to Dionysus, made by the god Hephaestus

I first got into BTS last May and joined the army membership October. I was going through depression due to not having a job and other things. They have lifted me up and made me love myself again. Now I am out of depression and off of medication. I am a lot happier. This performance is my favourite and last year's one

Nothing and nobody can do what BTS does on the stage. I can't even watch other acts live knowing that all they can do is shock value like the last awards show here in the U.S. BTS raised the bar and I have yet to find anyone close enough to touch it. My opinion is that is the best of the best so far but the award show that popped up where they are doing Black Swan performance live was incredible too (all their performances are so kinda hard to tell you where to look!).

If you liked Jimin's contemporary dance you should check out the live performance of 'Serendipity". Also, his live performance of "Lie" which is more R&B, and the latest solo from Jimin, the live performance of "Filter" which has a latin flair and a quick change that is amazing.

This was awards show. Let that sit a minute. Imagine being any other performer there.... Western award shows could never. I'm 53. I've been ARMY for over 5 years and have attended 3 concerts. They are hands down the BEST performers I have ever seen. You want more? React to MMA 2018

People think they are just a boy band. NOOO! They have so many weapons in their Quiver. Most are trained in Martial Arts. Jimin the member in the white, who did that beautiful (I NEED YOU) dance number, has several black belts. Each one has specialties but all can sing, dance, rap, play instruments, write & produce songs.

it's been 4-5 years since i've gotten into bts, i don't regret a single bit of it and i am so happy for how far they've come in just the years i've been watching them and they will only continue to grow and become better than they are now. they're amazing people and i hope that one day when i've moved to seoul that i can attend a live concert, or just pass them by on the street so that i can tell them how much of an inspiration they've been for me in the past few years alone. i wouldn't be learning other languages, or even making the biggest moment of my life by moving clear across the world to get away from the negativity i am surrounded with here if it wasn't for them.

I know right! BTS is out of this world. My mind was blown away first time i listen to their music Mic drop last year. I fell inlove with their music but most of all because of their personality and gratitude towards Army. 💜🥰

Well, my mind is so blown. Started following them 3 days ago. Danced for 30 years. Now 78. In Texas. Catch some of their dance practices. The lions, etc., this is Asian culture for thousands of years. The west doesn’t have this depth of culture. We have our own. They have combined both.

I still get chills watching this performance, it's just so incredibly epic. The whole time i was just screaming (as an American, having previously not paid much attention to foreign entertainment) "OMG NO ONE HERE IS DOING THIS, NO ONE IS DOING IT AT THIS LEVEL, OMG". I was flipping out lol.

I could watch Jimin’s solo performance for eternity and not get tired of it. Best kpop dancer 5 years in a row. This performance was amazing. Jimin is one of the most versatile dancers who studied modern dance in high school and was the top student. He’s extremely talented just an incredible dancer.

FUNFACT PT 2:- The songs they performed solo was actually recreated versions of their older songs 1. No more dream [2013] - performed by V 2. Danger [2014] - performed by Jin 3. I need U [2015] - performed by Jimin 4. Fire [2016] - performed by Suga 5. Save me [2016] - performed by Jungkook 6. Fake Love [2018] - performed by J-hope RM didn't have a solo dance performance as he did the opening to their stage with his song Persona :) And the song they performed at the last is Dionysus from their album Map of the Soul: Persona in 2019. And the dance break in the middle of the song is remix of their song N.O from their album O!RUL82? [2013]

I was just as blown away as you are when I first saw this about a year ago. BTS is amazing. And I love that in spite of their very earned succes, they're still so humble and down to earth. And just very hardworking and lovely guys. Greets from Amsterdam.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. You are what is know as baby ARMY. You can't seem to get enough of them. Enjoy your discovery. You have almost 8 years to discover. Hard to believe a lot of people is just discovering them. I discovered them last year while watching Carpool Karaoke. I was looking for Bruno Mars and discovered BTS.
