In next door Germany is the biggest man made hole. They take coal from it. Enormous and visible from space and nice to see from the no speed limit highway.

At 19:00 elephants, a Grizzly/Kodiak/Brown Bear can push over far larger trees than that. Well documented fact. They usually are too big to climb most trees at adulthood but have gotten prey or people trying to escape Grizzlies by climbing up a tree, by pushing over the tree. And it doesn't take multiple tries, the stand up and just push until it is uprooted.
@martiantexan76325 ай бұрын
Sorry, but even a kodiak doesn't max much over 1500 pounds, that's not even going to compare to a 14,000 pound elephant for pushing power.

6:45 This is one of the winds in Europe that happen when a large patch of cold air drops from one of the Alpine highlands, and comes down into the lower lying warm lands. They are called by various names, Mistral, Tramontane, Libbecico. They arrive with little warning, and the front of the wind is doing 60 miles and hour, or more. One minute it is warm and calm, the next it is blowing a gale of cold wet wind. There was one instance of a mistral taking a British fleet that was at anchor so completely by surprise that the flagship was laid flat on her beam, the wind stopped her righting, and she sank in just a matter of minutes.

@justdoingitjim70956 ай бұрын
I live in the country and a neighbor owned a male African lion. When friends would come over for a cookout, sometimes we'd hear him roaring as he was fed in the evenings. I'd tell the friends not to worry, because we had a really big dog. They'd ask if one dog could really keep a full grown lion away. I'd say, "No, but while he's eating him you'll have time to get in your car and get away!"

Many years I was at the Hogle Zoo while a female lion was calling for a mate. We could hear her when we got to the zoo and immediately asked what was happening. My next question was “are you going to accommodate her?” I was looking at the surprisingly quiet male in the next enclosure. The employee just said no. I was really bummed about that. I thought it would be cool to have baby lions at the zoo. I know now that it wouldn’t have been safe for lions and humans alike. It was an incredible experience though. She was just sort of purring but she had such a loud voice I felt it. I can’t imagine how powerful an angry male would feel. Yikes!

@@justdoingitjim7095 Back when I still had my little horse farm, I lived a few miles from a big cat sanctuary--you guys remember the "Tiger King" guy? Yeah, that place. There were several ranchers around me that had horses or cattle, and we all were a little nervous about one of the cats getting loose. Anyway, I was curious about the big cats so went to see the place one day. One of the tigers got into a mood! He cut loose with some awesome roars--literally shakes your insides if you're anywhere close. Awesome animals, really sad they have to live their lives in a wire enclosure, but even more sad to me that people actually buy the kittens thinking how cool it would be to have a lion/tiger, and the poor animals end up in places like that. Anyway, funny story!
