“ADHD friendly” ding ding ding!!!!!,,,,, also it’s ok Brad, What Do They Know is a banger, I know it’s hard bc Jimmy is the way that he is (and the rest of them aren’t much better) but it’s probably the only song on the album I haven’t grown out of, aside from Shut Me Up getting nostalgia points

I used to love this album and band when I was younger. This along with SOAD helped me go down the musical rabbithole I’ve been in for the past 15 years. Saying that, this album has not aged well at all… But there’s kind of a charm to it. It’s also highly influential to music I’ve made/listen to. If it wasn’t for MSI, I would never have heard Nine Inch Nails or enjoyed Daughters and Model/actriz as much as I do. Is it good? No. Is it important? No, but for me, yeah

Mindless Self Indulgence is the point. Edgy has become a meme. When they started it was art. Electro Industrial Jungle Hip-Hop Pussy Punk is what they called it. And it is. Industrial and Punk in the truest sense, the philosphic approach to the music. Truly anti-music music. Simplistic and simultaneously overly complicated. Listening to it now you can dismiss it because of how far everything has come. While so many pushed boundaries for the sake of pushing boundaries on a track or two, like Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, and The Prodigy to name just a few, Mindless made it their raison d'être. While I expect them to not be everyone's cup of tea, it's annoying that it be dismissed as simple edgelord-ing.
