What is best time frame to be set for short term and or swing trading using standard and 5,35,5 MACD?

Good question! For short term trading the 1-min, 5-min and 15-min are great. For swing trading, time frames like the 4-hour and daily are more common 👍

It depends on your strategy. Most strategies use a combination of multiple technical variables to find entry/exit points. If different tools give conflicting signals, it might be best to avoid the trade. Trusting your overall strategy and waiting for clearer signals can help.

Great question! I personally don't tend to use additional moving averages combined with the 3-10-16 MACD. It's useful to remember that the MACD already includes multiple moving averages to perform its calculations. I tend to focus on price action and market structure principles. @@MindMathMoney Yes. I use daily and the settings work across all time frames with high accuracy, they are the best settings I have discovered as don't need to change. It is roughly based on Fib numbers.

I usually narrow it down to just one. It's possible to use multiple, but it can often be more confusing than helpful. Stick with one that works best for you.

Very good catch! At the normal settings, we see a histogram divergence but not a MACD line divergence. It's a mistake on my part that I drew the line on the MACD line. Thanks for pointing it out and sorry about the mistake 🙏

Why not set a stop loss at or just below your entrance price?

If you set the stop loss just below your entry price, it will very often lead to getting stopped out. It's super common for the price to dip below you entry price. That's why it's usually recommend to create some distance between entry and stop loss. Using market structure to determine stop loss placement is usually a good idea.
