Prof. Kristin Moberg Aakre, Chair of the IFCC Committee on Clinical Applications of Cardiac Biomarkers, shared the latest developments in the education recommendations of the committee. This included methods and experiences in single-sample exclusion of non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction, strategies to address antibody-mediated interference, and relevant research. Prof. Aakre emphasized that robust and accurate determination of the 99th percentile is necessary to make an accurate diagnosis of MI.
