@@-Brickbro1 Simple answer is you don't. Longer answer is do your own thing. Make videos on Minecraft. Stream Minecraft. Get popular, get good, and people will notice you. Only THEN will the Hermits maybe, and I do mean MAYBE ask you to join. If your aim is to join Hermitcraft, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. If however, your aim is to just make good Minecraft content, and see what happens, you will be on the right path.

I don't know why mojang has to change old stuff in datapacks. Every update breaks the maps I've helped worked on. I'm also looking forward to vanilla tweaks coming back so I can use it on my survival realm.

​@@emmecalvert6691 Because they're trying to make sure everything is up-to-snuff and consistent with the new stuff they're making, as well as giving a lot more control to the datapack makers. It's overall a good thing, but yeah, it'll be a pain to update the old stuff.

​@@MattTOB618Mojang try to build a new foundation for datapack. It makes old datapack break for sure, but in the future, it creates better datapack for the players.

why would he know? he doesnt do bedrock. anyways. yes, that's true, its in the newest beta. but im pretty sure its coming with the bedrock equivalent of 1.20.5 and not 1.21 but someone who knows bedrock please correct me if im wrong

Not for 1.20.5, no Maybe for 1.21, when we'll get the trial chambers and stuff. 1.20.5 is effectively just the wolf and armadillo stuff, plus the change to Item Components rather than nbt

Seems like they’re first focusing on rebalancing the economy by making raid farms harder to make. Makes sense, if emeralds were actually a little hard to get, it wouldn’t be so easy to abuse villager trades. Depending on the impact of the raid farm changes, they might try something other than the villager rebalance. I really want the wandering trader changes though…

Why would they need to update structures? They already updated desert villages, desert wells and desert temples in 1.20. I would rather have them add new and unique structures like the trial chamber instead of just "Campsite in forest with a chest that has 4 iron nuggets"

⁠@@CatWithALimeUm no only villages got updated. Desert wells and temples never received an update only a miniature expansion.

Grian mentioned them having a mod called "Bobby", which does a similar thing, just without lowering the visual detail (atleast as much, the end island still looked like it was just a regular distant chunk over the lower detail DH provides)

About time we got a use (or a few thousand uses) for the fletching table.

Says a whole heck of a lot about Mojang’s updates then a literal potato update had more love poured into it.

Literally like 5 features from the potato update were actually things they had to code, every other thing is just a re-texture, if you don't like how mojang are making updates then just play a mod, there's no need to throw around hate for no reason

@@higueraft571Unfortunately they are not developing 1.23, or 1.22 right now. They are only at a stage where the ideas are being drawn and then sent to higher ups for the decision of potential features development into the game. If what you said was true we’d be at 1.99 by now.

@@darth3911 ideas being drawn up is literally development. Sure, it's not coding, finalising assets, and showing it to the public, but that's mid and late stage development, the first stage of development is working out the basic idea of what's going to be made next

It adds 2 hostile mobs, 6 effects and 4 potions, a huge structure with new spawners, vault blocks, keys and map that adapts to player count, ominous events and reworked raids, the mace, mace enchantments and wind charges which add a whole new way to pvp, automatic crafting, wolf armour and variants, the armadillo, so many building blocks for copper and tuff, a 1-block t-flipflop, new paintings, banner patterns, armour trims and sherds. Who in their right mind calls that mid?

Neither of the hostiles are bad but it's just two and one is a reskin, the potions are mid and wind charged seems useless, the structure is mid and ugly with minimal challenge (And almost the entire update hinges on this one structure), vaults which would be good but most of the loot is trash and only works once which is self defeating, automatic crafting which is also mid and enables lazy unengaging gameplay, wolf armor which doesn't fix the actual issue of wolves having bad damage output and AI, variants which are literally just reskins that shouldn't have taken this long to add, ominous events which are OK but most likely won't get expanded, Maces which are too niche to actually be truly useful and the breach enchantment is pointless in context of the weapon, armadillos which are terrible because their mechanics could've been added to sea turtles instead, copper and tuff variants that shouldn't have taken this many updates to add and the tuff bricks look terrible and copypasted, copper bulbs which are OK but got nerfed for literally no reason, paintings which are good, banner patterns that look pretty bad, armor trims that look OK but are useless (Honestly armor trims in general were a mistake) and sherds that are ugly and useless. Like this update is in the right direction but it's not worth waiting a year for, let alone an anniversary

No, that was a bug in a prerelease, but they fixed that with the renamed tag for redirecting projectiles. The rename wasn't the fix, that was just them keeping it clear what the tag does
