Jerome: you dont get all the items from the tnts because they dont explode at once, if you look they explode a bunch of tiny times to clear the area, this destroyes the items because while 1 tnt may drop the items the following tnt will destroy them, so you only get the items from the last explosions. This makes it seem like it wont drop dia because dia are so rare they mist likely wont be at the edge of the radius.

Fortune on an axe has a higher chance of dropping apples, sticks and saplings. It doesnt work on blocks as would be an infinite source of wood. The same as fortune only works on ores that drop the ingot, not gold or iron.

No fortune on an axe will give you more of anything that it can break instantly or anything that doesn't have a tool attached to it. Fun fact, a fortune hoe is the second best tool to have fortune on because it gives a lot more crops.

Fun Fact: You can mine lapis with a stone pickaxe like someone else commented. Something you may or may not know is that you can't mine gold with a gold pickaxe. But you can mine nether gold with a stone pickaxe and therefore get gold before any iron.
