for those not happy with the basement's 2 block height, just use slabs for the roof so at least it'll be 2.5 and the chests will open

Or add a few extra blocks of height underground. That works just as well.

If you’re on survival, you don’t need all those buckets of water, just place them on top and put kelp all the way up, it’ll turn all the blocks into water sources

Another alternative is to put a layer of dirt so it's only one block deep, fill the corners and middle with water, and then once they're all solid water blocks break the dirt layer you had underneath, that's what I do since I have trouble finding kelp

Thanks for the tutorial video! I built this with some minor modifications in my survival world, and it turned out great. I have one suggestion for an upgrade, which is to step down the basement at least one more block so you have head room. Looking forward to following along with more builds! :)

Just finished this on survival, took me 3 whole days of grinding 😂❤ great build! I just made the basement 3 blocks high instead of two since I read the comments before my build. Easy fix :)

i like the layout of your videos but i think you should do the complete building dimensions at the start of the video. i did the base of the building close to a lake thinking i had enough room but i ended up having to extend the land in front, shrinking the size of the lake which was unfortunate:(

for those wondering why their house is darker than in the video: it's not the shaders, he put all the materials wrong and used oak wood instead of spruce for the stripped walls.

Im on bedrock PS5 and i think you need oak logs for the walls, not spruce!!! Spruce stripped appears dark. Just a heads up before you gather materials

The enchanting table design you made is max level, it only detects 14 of the 18 bookshelves present and you need 15 for a max enchanting table

Haven’t actually built this yet but I love that it doesn’t have a texture pack! As much as I love them I find my builds are always lackluster when I can’t find or download the packs used because I play on console

While creating this in survival I went afk in my temporary hut I was staying in while I gathered resources and came to zombie and skeletons robbed my enchanted diamond armour and tools lol they spawn camped my bed and killed me multiple times before I ran away and managed to get my axe back for the rest of my stuff… great vid tho😊

note: if you place carpet next to the enchanting table it will decrease it max level so just put in wool blocks in the floor

Chat dont use glass panes for the Axolotl tank. Mine died because of it! Use regular glass blocks so theres no airspace where Axolotl can take fall damage and/or die from prolonged land exposure

why are you doing the interior before the exterior is even finished?

It's much easier to build the interior first and then choose the exterior accordingly. If you build the exterior first you are limited in space and the building itself is a great scaffold while building.

for around 13:13 - 14:33 is it slabs or is it planks for the wood and is it slabs or stone bricks

if it is planks, it looks better as slabs because there is more room to jump around (edit) also for building the chest under full blocks, you cant access them.

the block placing sound was too ear piercing and you (imo) broke a building sin by making the ceiling in the basement 2 blocks high instead of 3 or 4. other than that its a good build, built this for decoration but still a great build

Probably a Java only thing, kinda sucks you can do more in Java than in bedrock lol, I'm sure you can still make the interior look super cool on bedrock tho
