In real life, the diesel locomotives do NOT have a snow plow at the rear only the front.

are these AC4400CW's similar to the C44-9W or Dash 9-44CW

These two are similar enough. The most noticeable difference is that on the conductor's (left) side of the C44-9W, there is a smaller electrical cabinet (the large box) than on the AC4400CW. On the AC4400CW, the box is five blocks long, whereas on the C44-9W, it would probably only be three blocks. Also, on most AC4400CW's (with the major exceptions of SP, BNSF, KCS, and some of UP's locomotives), the number boards are on the nose of the locomotive, while on most C44-9W's (except for some of UP's and CN&W's locomotives), the number boards are much higher, just above the windows of the cab. Apart from those, these two locomotives are similar. I'm surprised CraftyFoxe has not made a tutorial on the C44-9W, considering it is so ubiquitous (with both NS and BNSF operating over 1000 examples of these locomotives) and such a pivotal locomotive model, not to mention it strengthened GE's reputation. However, I bet within a few months, someone (I'm looking at you Zachary Plant) will commission this locomotive and it will be built and rightfully placed into CraftyFoxe's locomotive collection.
