Is Minecraft too easy, or is just faking a Hardcore Minecraft video too easy?
Unfortunately, it's really hard to tell when someone is faking their Hardcore playthroughs. I personally don't think very many of the BIG Hardcore KZfaqrs (such as Sandiction, Sb737, aCookieGod, or Kolanii) are faking anything, when you spend pretty much every day playing Minecraft it does become pretty easy to stay alive in a Hardcore world.
But that isn't going to stop the lazy KZfaqrs from taking advantage of methods to lie and make a quick buck.

Thanks for watching! Edit 2: Filming for episode 1 of my Sleepless Hardcore series has now wrapped! However, if you subscribe after today you're subscription will still count towards the 1 penny per death price of episode 2! Original comment: I'll be filming my next video all day today, tonight and tomorrow. I'll update this comment when I'm finished. And remember: DON'T Subscribe! Edit 1: I've extended filming on the first episode of my Sleepless Hardcore series for another day, so new subscribers still count towards the 1 penny/death deal!

Awesome video. As a hardcore creator myself I can confirm that there are a LOT of dishonest people in this space especially since it's so easy to set up. But! - that's like anything in life. There are always gonna be people who will do ANYTHING to make as much profit off of it as possible by cheating and getting away with it. However I think these guys are pretty easy to tell apart and aren't super mainstream which is a positive.

I just love HC YTers who show their stats. It’s so easy to tell if anything was cheated. You can track blocks placed, and time played and number of deaths and mob kills. And also be able to tell if they used any illegal blocks or if they gave them self any items. You can just factor in the farms that they have, and you’d be able to tell which items they got legit or from commands.

This is why i love creators who stream their hardcore worlds. Philza's hardcore streams are very comforting to me, but also impressive as they show how much actual work goes into a big and developed hardcore world. I can see the hours he pours in while gathering reasources for builds and farms and even with top of the tops best enchanted gear and strategy, it still takes him hours. Not to mention the fact that if he makes one even small mistake, he might lose it all (again lmao). Honeslty, hardcore creators can easily beat any cheating suspicions by simply streaming the world from time to time, but i guess its not as clickbaity as "IVE SPEND 100 DAYS IN MINECRAFT HARDCORE" videos.

Look mum, I made it 1:43! Jokes aside, I hope the Open to LAN thing is removed from hardcore in a future patch. I'm sure people would find other ways to cheat, but the fact that creative mode is a couple clicks and a command away in what is supposed to be the hardest difficulty in the game just doesn't make any sense. I first discovered hardcore through Philza's famous death, and was hooked by that feeling of risk. Knowing that you're always a single mistake away from losing everything, which makes every small feat feel like an accomplishment. Good luck with your series! It's pretty easy to survive 100 days with no skill if you are careful and methodical about it. Basic rules: 1. Keep danger away with walls, light, and sleep, from the first day onward. Internalize your farms into your base. Secure your Nether Portal, etc. 2. No tempting fate. Don't do anything you can't afford to screw up once you're far enough not to scrap the run. Levitation from shulkers? Make sure you have a safe landing zone. Don't go out with tools in red durability. Don't jump crit the dragon. 3. Keep your base and inventory idiot proof. No lava or open pits to fall into. Don't have lava on your hotbar without water. Keep an extra shield. 4. No relying on luck. Assume there is a ghast that will shoot at you on your bridge, a magma cube that will fall on your head, your basement is in a slime chunk, there's a dripstone biome below you, gravel under lava above you, and you're about to mine into a lava pocket. 5. Hedge your bets if disaster strikes. Pearls, Elytra, full diamond/netherite armor with Prot IV, Feather Falling, and mending, fire resistance, multiple totems and golden apples, a large supply of cooked meat or golden carrots, multiple different situationally appropriate ways to MLG or mitigate fall damage, etc. Always keep blocks and a full set of well-maintained tools, including shovel and hoe. It wouldn't hurt to keep a bucket of milk on you either, as well as something to prevent drowning. 6. Trade skill and speed for security. Cheese every encounter. With some very basic game knowledge I think just about anyone should be able to survive 100 days hardcore mode. Now, these probably aren't all strictly necessary. You could always get the Elytra within 30 minutes and then fly around giant caves critting out mobs and gathering ores under pressure for 30 hours without ever making armor or a shield, but I'm saying if you want to do hardcore easily and safely, maybe don't do it that way.

Great video! As a Bedrock player I didn't even realise it was possible to cheat Hardcore, rly thought provoking video. And seriously, this idea of yours should/will take off pretty quick. Sleepless hardcore is an interesting twist on the otherwise bland and boring hardcore niche. Looking forward to it!

I liked this video and it's nice you brought some awareness to this. By the way, I don't think beds make the game too easy, it has the same effect as staying inside your house all night, but it's faster, if anything it's just a quality of life change, and it's other feature of setting a respawn point would be impossible to live without.
@LibraritheWizardOfficial
@LibraritheWizardOfficial 9 ай бұрын
In the context of this video, the respawn location mechanic is completely meaningless in Hardcore challenges, but yes. Every player being able to have their own custom spawn is just great, especially after dumping End city loot into an ender chest and taking a void bath. You just pop up right at home and head into your storage room to sort all the plunder :)

People focus way too much on "is the content real or fake" and let me tell you something: fake content can STILL be entertaining. The video can be fake but the creator will be energetic/full of charisma/doing something crazy in his world. So idc if the video im watching is real or fake, i care about is it entertaining me or not and everyone have their own taste in content. Thanks for reading this and have a great weekend yall!

Agreed. The only exception for me is stuff like speedruns, since that is a genuine competition against others and therefore affects more than just content.

I disagree with this view, people need to stop letting people to get away with faking videos, remember no matter how entertaining it is, part of the entertainment is that you believe all the things done in the video are legit, by faking things and hiding it those creators lie to your face. If you are the type of person to say "i DoNT CAre IF itS FakE its EnTErtaINg" you are in denial and need to face facts.

Kinda late, but I want to point out that it is possible to see how many times a player has died in the world. This is an easy method to find out if Hardcore worlds are fake or not. Do this by simply pressing "esc" on your keyboard whilst in game and then press "statistics", scroll to the bottom and find a grey text that says "Number of Deaths" followed by a number of, you guessed it - deaths. Please like and pin so that more people learn about it!

finally FINALLY someone pointed this out. I wish i found this earlier, because holy crap, even i struggle to not cheat sometimes. It sucks to lose everything halfway across the world even on normal mode, and i routinely have to install mods to prevent this open to lan cheat. Seriously, it's SO insanely easy to use that to cheat your way through the game on any difficulty.

I admit that I follow these people because I am fascinated by what they can do. I watched Cookie most often. And I know he once showed a texture pack with hardcore hearts. Of course he somehow explained why this is so, but it took me by surprise. There is also a video showing that he gave himself spawner eggs.
