For the lighting on the walls, if you don’t like putting all those lanterns, you can do this instead. Dig 3 or 4 blocks down, you decide which one works for you. Place glowstone on the 3rd or 4th block down, and place oak leaves on top till it extends out the ground like the normal hedge. It will look like a normal bush/hedge from the outside and even if you stand on it and look down, the extra 2 or 3 layers of leaves underneath will block the texture of the glow stone but it will still light up the area. It’s nice if you want to light up the area without showing anything.
