Minecraft is truly very inspiring, it started with only one person who wasn’t confident with their game and just thought it would eventually be forgotten, and now Minecraft is one of the most bestselling games ever.

As a bedrock player, this makes me soo happy. It is cool that Java and Bedrock use the same seeds now.

I enjoy hearing about how the developers play on their own worlds. They know what matters in the game because they’re playing it. Getting game updates from marketing people who don’t even play is boring.

You know, this is exactly what other companies lack. Communication with the playerbase is so so important. They are creating a game for US all. This is the reason I'll probably still play minecraft when im 50 years old.

The whole showcase at 7:33 really hits hard when listening to a C418 song that has been in the game since the beginning. Really made me think of exploring my first caves 10 years ago with that same song playing in the background. For a lot of people, this new cave generation will be all they will know

I love the Minecraft community. The transparency and humility, like they're not bragging how big they are gives me warmth to my heart. Unlike other companies not thinking about what their users will think, they think about what us will feel if in case they update the game. I love how careful Minecraft developers are, they all deserve this position to be praised. 😍🥰😌

I couldn't imagine being a developer for one of the biggest games ever, the stress level must be through the roof for Agnes and everyone.

It is a bit sad that the deep dark isnt going to be apart of caves and cliffs. But that just means its going to be even better Can't wait to explore and fight hordes of mobs in the new caves!

I'm so thrilled that the new giant cave systems will be able to spawn under our bases like that, moving the bedrock layer further down. Every time I hear about updates involving world-generation, I always feel I have to stunt my exploration so I won't have to run so many thousands of blocks farther to be able to find them, and then have to find my way back through the Nether trying to set up fast-travel. Setting up the new cave generation like this removes such a heavy burden and I'm absolutely grateful for it.

We asked for a caves update, they gave us an extra cliffs update which looks SICK

Everyone who works on minecraft seems so genuinely invested and in love with what they're making, especially Lady Agnes, you can see their excitement and I just. I love it. The vibes are so positive.

Minecraft wouldn't be the game it is today without its community, but it never would have even had the potential to be what it is without the dev team. It is a game I always find myself coming back to, no matter what. Making skins for myself and my friends, and helping my friends make bases in our survival worlds, it really never gets old.

Its been 8 years since I started playing Minecraft and seeing how it has Improved for over that many years makes me feel nostalgic.

I actually got kinda emotional when they were showcasing the new caves n mountain generation. Idk maybe it’s cuz of the music but it just makes me so genuinely happy that Minecraft is gonna look this amazing! I’m gonna miss the old simple yet chaotic generations of Minecraft, but I can’t deny this is a BIG upgrade.

I'll admit it's disappointing they're delaying the deep dark til next year for the next update but honestly I can understand this decision with how they're wanting to expand on it instead of it just being a small area with a warden windering aimlessly

I really really love what they’re doing and I just want to thank them for splitting the update. The world generation is an extremely important part of the game, so I’m really grateful that they didn’t rush it. I don’t want to see cool but wonky new things soon, I want to see incredible new things forever. Also, the blending thing is absolutely incredible. Big respect. That changes the whole game. I hope to be able to keep building on in and explore my current world forever, which is something I’ve never been able to do before.

The Java and Bedrock both having the same seed is my favorite part of this update.

It's actually really rare to see big companies like this being to honest about what's going on, and that's what makes me enjoy playing Minecraft even further

I really love how inclusive Mojang and Microsoft are. They hire people from all backgrounds, as long as they’re interested in the game. A bunch of Minecraft old players are now working for Mojang, this to me, as a player, means that they care enough about the game, to the point where they decide to hire people who know what’s best for the future of the game and the community as a whole.

This is what happens when both the devs can actually play test their own game updates, but also have help from their community...in a way I feel like Mojang is secretly a test that Microsoft is using to see what works best for both developers and community for the betterment of the game as a whole, (as annoying as the bedrock store is to me). Something I've begun seeing from alot more indie game or smaller dev teams doing such as the makers of stellaris, giving access of beta branches of updates to their playerbase to help find bugs the developers otherwise wouldn't even think possible. Should this type of thinking continue I feel a new golden age for gaming can come from this. (Though never to the same extent as the last, but at least a step in the right direction)

It's a terraformer's dream to see quality terrain generation.

This right here is a shining example about what to do as a developer or a team of developers. Transparency, and communication with the community. Both lead into an amazing community, and a lasting game. (And really high profits, provided the game is well made. Win-win situation for everyone!)

The new update makes Minecraft look like the perfect mix of the regular world and the amplified world! I cannot wait to finally be able to enjoy all of the hard work the team behind Minecraft did to make this update the best it can be.

I missed this part of the livestream. It’s really cool to know that old worlds will generate with new generation underneath them. I assumed the lower bits would just generate in new chunks but the fact that they’re generating in new and old chunks is great to hear.

I've never played minecraft until last month and I can't believe it took me this long I'm hooked. I first built my Initial base on the side of a cliff pretty much right where I spawned I spent like 3 days digging out the rock and shaping it just right and making little passages through it and I couldn't get enough . then I accidentally found my first cave in the tiniest bit if water that opens up when you swam further down and then I just fell out into darkness and nearly died when I landed on the ground but survived ,and then I threw up my first torch to light up the tiny little bit of a HUGE cave that I spent the next 10 hours exploring. and now I'm working on a roller coaster in the cave that goes between the lava flows and water falls. OH and I didn't even realize I could play it on my PSVR which turns it almost into a horror game deep in the dark w creepers coming out of nowhere 🤯

This whole team of developers are all so nice people, I honestly hope whenever I get a job years later the people I work with are as nice as these people.

This was the same game we all played 10 years ago when the most there was to do was beat the ender dragon. This game is really growing up alongside us.

I'm so glad to see a developer actually put care into updating their game and not just doing it for a money grab. You can tell when they talk about the update that they're genuinely excited to be working on it and really want to put their heart into making it as great as possible for the community. And splitting the update into two and delaying the deep dark to the next update? Excellent choice, we've seen far too many times recently where even huge AAA games just force out buggy updates with no regard to their communities and that are full of broken and poorly thought out features. It's refreshing to see the developer decide not to push out the update quickly, but instead take their time to perfect it and make it exciting for themselves and for the community. It's that passion that the devs have for their game that truly keeps it alive and thriving, even 12 years after its conception.
