The hunters are trying to stop the runner from achieving that goal. Killing the Dragon themselves will still achieve the goal. So, technically, Bubbo won the game for Yello. I don't think most of the weapons gave Yello kill credit. I feel like that is why the Blazes didn't drop rods and the Dragon didn't give the achievement.

"I made the most CURSED sword in Minecraft" by CommandGeek shows off a data pack the guy made where you just craft a bunch of diamond swords together to make weirder and stronger weapons. Yes, it's diamonds, so it might take a while to get going... But it might be pretty good.
