The Kingdom of Yimmu-Audal is the oldest political entity of Rathnir, the historic heartland the High Kingdom of Yimmu-Audal, one of three Imperium core states, alongside Bardonia and Escharia. The Kingdom is ruled by a Sharrular of the Audalad Dynasty, representing the Kingdom's state-enforced Hukar Sharud Faith. The kingdom's capital is Urnu-Arrak, the first city to have been established on Rathnir. Predating the world Rathnir itself and originating in Jagdas, the Audalad civilization possesses a nuanced and ancient cultural heritage. In the world Jagdas, Yimmu-Audal had emerged as a hegemonic empire dominating the central spawn before migrating to the world Rathnir where it had solidified its position as a member of the Old Guard before succumbing to a short period of instability which led to a period of lost sovereignty. Following independence from the short-lived Neo-Soleannan Empire, the nation's cultural heritage continued in the state of Theios-Essukdal after its reunification summit of February 28, 2021 where Yimmu-Audal merged with its former Western Territories, the former Sovereign Duchy of Theiónikos. Not long after existing in this experimental theocratic and isolationist state, Yimmu-Audal re-consolidated itself to once again take on its historic name and policies of religious freedom. Following this reconsolidation followed Neo-Imperial expansion. The Empire reached its peak as a part of the Triumvirate of Denumain and the Union of Solea Audal, before finally falling into a union to a state it helped create, the Empire of Aldvoir as an outcome of the Brother's War, thus establishing the Empire of Astyllea. However, following a government coup as well as increased inability of the ever-inept Aldoviri leadership to create activity, the Astyllean states chose to leave the union. Thanks to the efforts of the Duchess of Anoshphey, the Kai'Yi Audalad NattyNuke, Yimmu-Audal reconsolidated once again, now as a High Kingdom, becoming a protectorate of the Imperium and later a core state. Prior to the formation of Astyllea and The Imperium, Yimmu Audal had been a multicultural, mutli-ethnic, and multi-religious state, accepting of all besides Entropy worshipers. Policies of religious freedom and tolerance led Yimmu Audal to generate an incredibly diverse population of Audaladae, with numerous sub-groups and scatterings of immigrants/refugees from lesser-off nations with all sorts of various cultural and religious identities. To emphasize this, the nation's capital Urnu-Arrak stood as a cosmopolitan beacon of urban development, having earned the nickname, "City of Many Temples". However, the formation of the Empire of Astyllea led to increased nationalism among former regions of the Neo Empire of Yimmu Audal, which seperated as non-Audalad related entities within Astyllea. A historical response within the new Kingdom of Yimmu-Audal followed, seeking to solidify a less multicultural national identiy. Although, once Astyllea fell, the former duchies of Anoshphey, Theiokinos, Talor and Yimmu-Audal realised that in chaotic situations, it was best that they stuck together. Eventually this created the High Kingdom of Yimmu-Audal. Within the Kingdom of Yimmu Audal, the ancestral faith of Hukar Sharud, the first faith of Yimmu Audal and the oldest religion in Rathnir was instituted as state-mandated. Religious symbolism can be seen on the national flag of Yimmu-Audal where the Sharudi Faith is depicted above the message given by it to StoryStudio, the first Lugal and Emperor of Yimmu-Audal also known as Narahashu the Prophet. In this manner, the message given to StoryStudio to establish the Audalad nation stems directly from divinity. When a Lugal and Chief Diplomat appoint their heirs, they pass on this holy message of Hukar Dezum Autai Dar Shur and thus justify their heirs' right to rule via Divine Right. During the Essukdalad Period, Hukar Dezum Autai Dar Shur was officially interpreted by the state through the lens of Theiosism which suggests that Hukar Dezum Autai Dar Shur is in actuality the Theiosist patron-angel Garath. To this day, Theiosists in Yimmu-Audal perceive the Holy Golden Seabird in this manner, instead believing that the Seabird is but a part of Theios who had given the Audalad Dynasty Divine Right In the second Kingdom flag of Yimmu Audal, featured in the information banner of this page, the cyan stripes represent the Jagdasian Spawn Ocean, the Geshem Bay, and the Atsyllean Sea from bottom to top. The ivory stripes represent the divine wind Naddar Ori, and the gold feautres the guiding Hukar Sharud which led the journey between the sacred seas. The Empire of Yimmu-Audal itself became a secular state as it saw this necessary for its rapid expansion back even in the Jagdasian era. In reference to this distant period, the Rathnirian Yimmu-Audal maintains a Library dedicated to this principle in Urnu-Arrak called the Library of Religious Freedom of Bishara Shurud, named after the Jagdasian Island of Bishara-Shurud on which the original building resided and which was rebuilt almost block by block in Urnu-Arrak. While modern Yimmu-Audal isn't secular or religiously free, many religions are recognized and given rights. In the imperial times, an Urdussad Representative led a faith within Yimmu-Audal. The following mechanics were in place: whenever a faith is legalized, the Lugal is in charge of assigning its faithful a Urdussad representative. These officials lead the faithful in Yimmu-Audal, allowing the government to have greater control over foreign faiths. A new Urdussad Representative can be assigned to a faith at any time.
