Definitely shows how dangerous a dam breach is. The only thing missing is the destruction as the water forces everything out its way as it stampedes downhill

The low-pass filter on the music when the camera’s underwater is a nice detail! The music choice is also oddly upbeat for such a severe flood.

Water flowing through window panes is kinda odd... but I guess it's a bit difficult to realistically show different levels of water on either side of a glass plane, especially with corners...

I think it's because most glass pane fittings aren't watertight, so water most likely could still pass through it

It's because of the way Minecraft waterlogs blocks. The pane gets waterlogged and the water spills out to the other side

Im pretty sure he didnt make the mod.most windows arent watertight but they should break but im not sure if you wouldnt have to recode how waterligging blocks works

I remember captain sparklez doing a mod review on a mod called "Finite Water" long ago. I was obsessed with it. Really nice to see this being brought back.

The only thing I'd like to change in this mod is that if there is a large body of moving water, it should move much faster and not take hours to fully flood a lower area. For example, they could move large cuboid areas (4x4 maybe) at once which would be better for performance and speed (realism).

If this wasn't such a nightmare for performance it'd actually make an interesting multiplayer server where people start out just fine and then floods begin and eventually people are fighting over what little land is left or making barges and boats like Waterworld.

If the water is gonna go through the glass, just maybe break it as a cheap way to get around this problem? I don’t believe that the water have enough pressure to realistically break the glass, but it’s at least better than phasing right through it.

Honestly the water would definitely have enough pressure to break the glass. Maybe not instantly but yeah it would break the glass in a few minutes, probably even less time since water keeps piling up.

I think it just does that because glass panes aren’t full blocks, and are possibly also able to be waterlogged.
