The striped wolf is based on the striped hyena and the rusty wolf is based on the maned wolf!

The difference between the old growth pine and spruce taiga is the trees. The pine taigas have trees with long trunks and relatively few leaves just at the top, while the spruce taiga’s have trees with way more leaves and relatively shorter trunks that resemble giant Christmas trees.

The spotty wolf is my favourite! I think it is supposed to be an African wild dog, because they are in the savannah plateaus biome.

When I started watching this video I thought it was an mod, but it looks so cool! Btw, is it Just me or does the red band look bigger? At first it was always just on the front of the dogs body, but now also on the sides!

Yeah its bigger because the wolf armour made it too hidden, so mojang made it bigger to be more visible

I think some of these "wolves" are meant to represent other canines (or hyaenidae) Spotted wolves being African wild dogs, striped wolves being a striped hyena and the rusty wolf maybe being an interpretation of the maned wolf.

it was such a sudden little update that i didnt even know what to say but am so excited 😂 Edit: and for anyone wondering what the difference between the taiga and pine is the old growth has more of a pineshape on the top and taiga has just low leaves on the trees :)

pine taigas only have leaves on the tops of the trees, spruce taigas are more like christmas tree's.

Actually i tested this but cut it out of the video, it's a random pick between the two parents as to what the baby is. If you breed a rusty and a snowy, you get a 50/50 chance of the baby being one of those
