i'm pretty sure they added the ability to change scale and reach to vanilla in 1.20.5. i wonder if immersive portals will switch to using vanilla attributes instead of the pehkui ones

Would very be up for a dimension stack! Maybe you install a bunch of other dimension mods and the goal is to get from the overworld on top all the way down to the end on the bottom and put a crazy interconnected base in every dimension you visit along the way.

If only Immersive Portals + Create. That'd be insane mining contraptions that could mine out from Aether all the way down to nether for resources. XD

Last time Immersive portals came up, I tried it out with the Create mod. Create Contraptions tended to push the Immersive Portals around rather then going through them, so it didn't work very well. But, there are some tricks you can use to make it look like the contraption is traveling between dimensions, at the cost of making additional portals

I've made accurate hypercubes with this mod. 4D is trivial, but higher dimensions are a bit more tricky, since each face of a cube is connected to more then one other cube. essentially like the 3 edges on a 3D cube that meet at each corner. not to mention, the number of rooms goes up exponentially: 8 40 160 560 1,792 5,376 15,360 42,240

immersive portals now has some sort of portal wand to use to create portals so you dont have to use the portal helper anymore you should try that its so much easier

a cool thing you can do with the dimension stack, is you can put another overworld on top of the overworld, but then flip the second overworld. It creates basically a mirror dimension where there is an exact copy of the overworld in the sky, and if you go up high enough gravity inverts and you fall to the mirror overworld.

This video actually motivated me to try the mod out and I'm loving it. Also small thing you would probably like to know, there are more dimensions than what is shown to you. There's one simply titled CHAOS. I'll let you discover what it looks like...

my guess is 'looping' removes the bedrock from the bottom so you can fall through But instead of dying in the void you just get yeeted back out at the top (so in your setup that would be getting spat back out above the Skylands)

Immersive portals mod is my favourite minecraft mod, it is so amazing! I love create mod but this mod adds such a simple feature and yet its complex! You can do SO MUCH with it!!!

There's a mod called Immersive Portal Gun on modrinth that uses immersive portals, and it could be really good for a survival series with immersive portals. The only downside is that it is really expensive to craft in survival and it only allows 1 by 2 portals. Another way to make a survival-friendly immersive portal world would probably be to make the immersive portal helpers or the portal wand craftable in survival. The downside to this is that if the portal wand is way too overpowered to be used in survival (unless you gave it durability and made it somewhat expensive to craft), and you would have to enable cheats in order to use them. Also, I never knew about the dimension stack either. I never toyed around with it and now I want to mess around with it more. This channel was the main reason I got into immersive portals, and now it's literally my favorite mod ever.

Add immersive portals to the next create survival series; so instead of making massive train lines you can do it with connected portals to shorten the distance

We are so back baby! Also you may be interested to know that there's some kind of gravity mod that works with the dimension stack feature of immersive portals. What I'm pretty sure it does is it flips the nether so that when you go there is also flips your gravity? If that makes any sense?

if you install fabric api fork you can also turn portals on the side and suddenly you walk on the wall

In 1.20 scaling is just a vanilla mechanic, maybe when immersive portals updates it can use that instead of a separate mod

I remember putting two instances of The End in the Dimension Stack pointing at each other such that if you tried to go above/under The End, you’d end up at the opposite point (high->low, low->high) Basically The End would lead to The End would lead to The End would lead to The End…

Dimension stacking would work perfectly with GoodTimesWithScar's Hermitcraft S7 base. He literally had a giant drill that was supposed to dig through Overworld right into the Nether.

If I played with Immersive Portals I'd create a troll maze that's actually just a bunch of portals to other spots in the maze, making actually following the wall to the exit impossible, but maybe I should add some rooms where it's more obvious where you would be in the maze.
