if your minecarts go into the portal and dont come back, make sure that the portal you made is the only one in a close proximity or else the minecarts will go into other portals and break the chunk loader

For the peoples that saying that the chunk loader is not working, then the solution is put 2 minecars in the dispenser and then place 1 extra minecart in the rail. it will work then

Another thing I learned: Do not have a wall directly behind the portal, or else the hopper cart will not get to the right position. have at least one block free just behind. If not, the cart will bounce back eventually and the loader will break.

For anyone who’s farm isn’t working, mine wasn’t, is that you have to make sure that where you place fire is on netherrack otherwise it burns out

This design does not seem to work with portal based Iron farms! I'm not sure about non portal ones but it does not work with my portal based iron farm. Basically I activate it and it works when I am in the nether by the kill box but then after I leave it stops for good even when I return. Idk why

Another reason why it could fail is because the blocks you place the fire on in the nether might be extinguished. Fire is only permanent on netherrack and magma blocks so make sure the fire is on that.

for when it stops working after a few minutes cause the minecart with hopper does not pick up the broken minecarts: place a block behind the left obsidian of the 2 bottom blocks of the portal before you push in the minecart with hopper, if you do that you'll notice the hopper minecart fits perfectly inside the block and the first regular minecart you place will "fuck up" cause it'll glitch trough the slab, trust me, leave it there and dont touch it, then put down a second minecart, and add extra minecarts to the dispenser if needed. this is what solved it for me

In my case it's not throwing the Minecart only collecting but I add a observer clock now it's working fine✊

I don't know why but after a while the Minecart is no longer picked up and the mechanism stops, the Minecart is basically dropped in the block to the right of the Minecart with the Hopper. Maybe I solve with another Minecart with Hopper on the right?

if you add more minecards and it doesn´t work, try placing more fire in the end around the portal

this mostly works untill i unload the chunk, then it will not keep it loaded and the minecart sits there as an item, it just breaks and dosent go through the portal i guess, is there any fix for this? im using it for an obsidian farm.

If somebody thinks that it runs out after a while you should put another hopper and hopper minecart then even the minecarts on the other side of the portal will be used

Works like a charm. Not sure if it will work even after restarting the game, but for now - works perfectly

My issue was: Minecart came back, but wasn't getting dispensed. Put a second one in, as a comment suggested, then it'll work

When ever I place a mincart on the rail it just goes in the nether😢

For me everything works except for the timing of the dispenser, the minecart will go into the portal break and come back into the dispenser but the dispenser activates too early and doesnt send the minecart back onto the rail

used for my concrete duper and it works perfectly, you will have to activate the dumpers before turning the loader on though otherwise it breaks the duper

If your machine is working how it should but the chunks just aren't loading it may be because you have a mod on. I was trying to get it to work for a long time and then I just figured out that it was because of my optifine.

Somethings making it stop working for me. I've came back twice now and both minecarts are in the dropper. Idk if magma cubes are doing it as my portal in the nether is right in a basalt delta. I just enclosed the portal on the nether side with glass, leaving room for fire. Hopefully that fixes it.
