Spiders in Minecraft can't "mutate", but they can rarely spawn with potion effects. The worst ones are invisibility, speed and strength : )

For those wondering why Skeleton appeard of no where is because in Minecraft spider and spawn whit a skeleton rideing them its rare but I encountered them alot in jungles and the spider often kills the Skeleton by crawling into day light or suffacting them

Steven don't believe everything you see in the animation also if you didn't spider and neutral they won't attack unless your in a dark area or you attack but as long as there in the sun light there chill and at night they attack and cave spiders are a little smaller and only spawn in mineshafts but there alot worse because if they hit you they poison you

If anyone is wondering why spiders are so big in minecraft is because mojang had to make them big by every pixel they add to the spider or else it wont look that "realistic" because the spider will end up looking terrible.
