Quick story: The first time I played Minecraft was on a friend's laptop in 4th grade. It couldn't run the game very well so he kept the render distance down to the minimum (I think 2 chunks but not sure). When I went home and bought the game I thought I should do the same thing despite having a better computer to play on. After building my house next to a river I went exploring and got lost. Eventually, I decided I needed to build a new house, so I did; also by a river. A few hours later I tried turning up the render distance and found my original house on the other side of the river no more than 40 blocks away. Not sure why this story stuck with me after almost 9 years, but that's my earliest memory with Minecraft on my first survival world.

Wow Xisuma, you've really come a long way from those early days in minecraft. I remember watching Xisuma's world, as well as much of the first season of hermit craft from all the hermit's channels (thanks biffa for introducing me to xisuma and the rest btw). After that I got pretty busy, and kinda lost interest in minecraft so even when I had time I wouldn't watch it, occasionally I'd click on a video of your testing new update features, and once I saw another hermits video where they went to your season two base(you were still digging out the sand). I rather miss the days in which I hopped on KZfaq to watch you and the other hermits. I feel like I might go back and watch your old videos, if only I had the time to go through all those videos... Though we've never met, and you likely dont recall reading my comments back in the day, know that I think of you as I would an old friend. Best Regards, -R

Man, this made me realize how badly I wish I could see my first ever “amusement park” that I made in Minecraft. I had a “Parkour Park”, a roller coaster lovingly named “The Screaming Death” that took the player into a lava fountain to meet certain death, a shorter and non-lethal kiddie roller coaster, a rollercoaster with multiple blocks missing to make it fly from one part of the track to the other, another very long and slow-ish (as slow as I could make it) roller coaster to tour the entire park, a water slide coming down from an airplane, different mob exhibits, a party building, an archery range with mine carts to ride to make it more challenging, and multiple statues. There was much more but for the life of me I can not remember everything. Which makes it even more sad. Ugh, I miss it. I spent so long working on that world, and as I wasn’t even in my teens yet, I felt it was a grand achievement to have built such an extravagant park. So yes, make sure you save files for your worlds that you put a lot of time into. 😔✊🏻

This is why I liked original Minecraft so much, you didn’t have all sorts of crazy blocks so you had to get creative with making cool combinations, the shading, and just the gameplay in general.

Honestly this is incredible, I’m not kidding this is blowing my mind even if these are old bases! The effort of the bases and the absolutely incredible and don’t get me started on the red stone! I’m horrible at red stone so you building a potion brewer and the way the Villegas’s just go down the rails when you don’t like their trades and all the rest of it it’s just mind blowing it’s just the effort put in to everything! I have absolutely no words because all these bases,worlds,red stone and all the rest of it, It’s just incredible and amazing and I can’t think of any other words because my mind is so blown! Personally I know what’s it like placing block after block and it being super annoying and I’m just staring at this video thinking, how could you place all these blocks, mine and just- I legit have no words these are the most incredible just stunning worlds and bases and all the rest of it ever!

Yeah, not related to Hermitcraft or anything, but a personal thing. Joined a realm recently (It's okay, nothing great) and have gone WAY over the top in the past 8 or so days with my build, probably the most over-the-top survival build i've ever worked on. Still early on but it's ridiculous, and i've spent like 50 hours on it so far already. (Lost my job recently so a lot of free time. lol.) I regret my decision to do it underground cause while it looks REALLY NICE, it takes absolutely forever even with an Efficiency 5 diamond pick to mine out one of my districts. (9 planned districts but i'll honestly probably stop after the first is done), each one is a 45x45 space with 18 block height, so yeah. (47x47 with 20 block height if you count the mined out and redone walls, ground, and ceiling.). When Hytale comes out (I'll probably play this realm till then), I'll most likely switch over to it. In that game I think i'll mainly have above-ground builds.

This was such a blast to past, your channel was what got me into the whole mixing of redstone and massive builds. Minecraft has changed so much as a game since I began playing it like many of us here, and it's always a pleasant memory to go back.

I just realised how long I’ve been watching these videos I can remember season 2 of Hermitcraft and especially season 3 extremely well. I can remember the start of season 3 and it seems like it is not 6 years ago. Love watching as many of the Hermits videos I can and seeing all this reminds me how long I’ve watched Hermitcraft as a whole. Even way back when GenerikB began the server. Ok I’ve got to stop realising this makes me feel old even if I’m a teenager. Keep up the amazing work.

Thank you Xisuma for showcasing these worlds. Even though I didn't watch that much of your old videos and didn't play Minecraft for that long, I still can feel the nostalgia and that feeling of the first time I was introduced to Minecraft, back in 1.8.8-1.8.9 era, while watching this video. This really inspires me to undertake bigger projects in the game, KZfaq, and even in real life in the future. With enough dedication, something as amazing as these projects can come to be.

I love rewatching the video and watching the part about season 4, because that when I started watching you. Before I watched hermitcraft I didn’t really know what was entirely possible in survival Minecraft as the only real popular Minecraft think back then was cool parkour maps and stuff. And from here watching all the other hermits really expanded my mind of just the amazing things people can do. Keep up the fantastic work X.

Better than go from a beautiful 3 storey Oak/Birch house with underground connection to a ravine, a minechaft with mutible spider spawners in a beautiful taiga biome in Beta, to a giant square cube of brick in the the released version.

I remember watching you starting from the end of season 2 and I watched every episode of season 3 it gave me so much inspiration for the game. After season 3 I watched the fiest half of season 4 and then I’ve been watching on and off since then thanks for being such a cool Minecraft we and inspiring many people!

How many memories of hours spent enjoying your videos. I’m a bit nostalgic of the time I used to just enjoy my afternoons playing Minecraft on some server with friends, but we all grow and change eventually. Thank you for making my childhood a little bit better.

when I first played Minecraft was on Pocket Edition Lite, when i was 3, then i joined java edition in 1.6, when i was 5. never stopped playing since.

Omg i would done anything to get to see my old minecraft pe world. It was soo old thet the terrain was limited. I remember building a 3 story high box with triangle roof and being proud of it. I also remember having a shower in the corner if the second story. This video brought back so much memories, thank you❤️

Neat to see your abandoned attempt at a mega tree of doom that iskall is currently taking a stab at. Even times I've tried that concept in creative its mental I couldn't even imagine having to come up with the resources . Woof. Even only partial done what the swed has finished is hella impressive. ahhh i love looking back with this kind of video, as a viewer who was decdicated through hermitcraft seasons 3 and 4, then i just stopped by a few times during 5, it's really fun to see the over view of everything after. never watched season 6, but with season 7 currently running i've been consistently watching and i'm excited to see where Xs builds go !
