minecraft steve is a sandbox video game developed by mojang. The game was created by markus "motch" persson in the minecraft steve Java programming language. Following steve rap battle cam steady rapped against sackboy several early test versions, it was released as a paid public alpha for personal computers in 2009 before releasing in November 2011, with Jens Bergensten taking over development. minecraft has since been ported to several other platforms and steve is the best-selling video game of all time, with 200 million copies sold and 126 million monthly active users as of 2020. and then dream came along and cheated n stuff.

The tagline represents the three core elements of the series: playing alone or with others locally creating new content using the in-game creation tools, and sharing creations and discoveries online with other players.

It's a Smash fanbase reference because of last summer. I do think it's the reverse though: there's bound to be a lot of nasty people everywhere, but the Smash community was one of the few that actually exposed and banned them. Even some really popular streamers and top players got axed. That hurts. But it's a good thing overall.

1:39 As a Super Smash bros fan, Sackboy's bar here cut real deep. Saying that both minecraft and Smash led "creepers" (inappropriate adults) to "miners" (or minors, as in small children). Also, I am not saying that all smash bros fans are "creepers", just that some pro players unfortunately were.

Holy shit this was amazing! Easily the best Minecraft rap battle I've ever seen. I got to give the win to Steve here though, I think he hit a little bit harder than Sackboy here. I really love the progression on this one! It starts off with Steve styling on Sackboy, being all dismissive and smug, but then Sackboy gets his own leg-up in his own verse, with some buildup and dirty jabs, cause he’s gotta build up to have to same sting as Steve’s verse, but when he’s there, he POPS off! Then, during their shorter verses, Steve is still playing up the smug act, but it doesn’t quite have the sting it initially did. Then Sackboy delivers THE NASTIEST DISS IN THE WHOLE BATTLE, LET’S NOT KID OURSELVES!!! Now Steve’s coming swinging, not just trying to play smug and stylish, really going and digging at SB for a lot more, way more diss heavy cause Sackboy kinda stepped on his shoes with that 2nd verse. Then Sackboy comes in on the 3rd, and I’m gonna be real, that first line ended the battle! It’s so fucking great to see a battle progress like this one did, where one guy is so clearly dominant out the starting gate, but the ‘underdog’ hits so hard it shakes the entire dynamic! You love to see it, great battle!!

Steve definitely had it on lock, Sackboy might have had the best individual line with the Miners but Steve straight spit fire the entire time and just had better quality overall.

I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BATTLE EVER SINCE THE WINTER ALBUM RELEASE YESSSSS!!!!!! I'm so glad cuz now I can process the lyrics and understand 'em by reading the subtitles and it just makes the battle so much better!! the writing is absolutely phenomenal as usual and I can't get enough of the voice acting and animation, absolutely top tier work guys
