[2023/42] Queensway - Ottawa, Ontario Highway 417 Westbound (Trans-Canada Highway)

We travel along the Queensway, which carries Highway 417 and the Trans-Canada Highway through Canada's capital city; Ottawa! It is the city's busiest highway, and is the main east-west link south of the Ottawa River.

Thanks! I'll have three more videos from the Ottawa area from the trip, and some footage that is currently unused (John A Mcdonald was under heavy construction). Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to drive through/to Ottawa during my Atlantic trip but I definitely have plans to be back there, now with Porter Airlines now flying from Vancouver

Thanks! I am definitely aiming to film in Ottawa within the next year or so. For this specific video in fact, we contemplated to either film from the east end of 174 freeway section or to start from the easternmost Ottawa exit on 417. We ended up doing the latter. Thanks for watching!

Nice work! It’s funny cause I actually have some old unused footage of the 417 going up tomorrow from my Thanksgiving 2021 trip. Except the video begins in Hawkesbury and ends after the split.

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for it, I wasn't able to film 417 as it was late at night, and wasn't able to pass by again this summer. I still have to run through a handful of unused footage from 2021-2022 etc (footage I thought were too similar to recent videos, videos I thought won't perform well) but I recently estimated I have a backlog of around 95-110 videos' worth of footage, so I'm not sure how I'm gonna get to that before the end of 2024

@@xlbolt I personally don't have a ton of unused footage. Most of it is stuff that I determined to be unusable or repetitive. This one in particular was usable, but I filmed it and realized that it may be better to wait until I could film the entire route, which I did the following summer of course. I came back to it now though thinking it would be a great contrast to my summer video of the 417, but this time with peak fall foliage. It turned out really well!
