Minecraft redstone has come a long way, whether you love it or you hate it, its an important part of the game. Either way, its incredible what redstone has enabled players to achieve, but it wasn't always like this. Redstone in 2010, was very different to redstone today...

I remember making a Redstone word processor years back. It used some fairly bulky and slow logic gates and piston memory but i'm still proud of it, it could output a 24 character sentence but took an absolute age to write to the memory. Nowadays that same build could be done with a single command block.

The main thing about hoppers and droppers was they created a new discipline which was storage tech that allowed players like me to use these redstone computers for something that actually was more useful than just display a number.

In some ways the level of engineering back then still impresses me over some of the newer builds just given the limitations and given the fact that I don't think a computer had even been "built" in a game before then. It's quite an important milestone for Minecraft and gaming as a whole really.

When I was introduced to Redstone, I felt like I can do everything. It was absolutely amazing. Now, I can call myself lucky if I can follow what Mumbo Jumbo is saying, which more often than not, doesn't happen. I will admit that I'm one of those people who say that Redstone is Easy, but I will also say from firsthand experience that the bigger your contraption is, the harder it is to understand.

Well, the issue with redstone is that the seperate machines are fairly simple in how they work. Aside of detection blocks, theyre not hard to understand since most redstone components are signal receivers or logic components. Now, we also have confusing comparatprs and less confusing observers. Tge thing is, it is logically easy on its own. But just like logic contraptions, its the combinatiom of components and hiw they intetact that make redstone being so complicated

Redstone is incredible. So many things would never be possible that imagining the game without is almost un-fathomable to imagine the game without it. Redstone gives so much more creative freedom to the player than what would be normaly possible .Honestly I think that if it weren’t for redstone, Minecraft wouldn’t have become as popular as it is .I’m definitely no redstone pro but it’s still awesome to work with it, figure out its qwerks, build flying machines, sneaky traps, and to make fascinating creations with posable armor stands and minecarts and so much more is really cool . The future is definitely very bright with the introduction of the skulk sensor and the other skulk blocks which are likely to also have some redstone functions as well.

You should make a video on the history of piston doors, there are a lot of neat tricks/ relatively unknown aspects of them, such as tiletick priorities, event delay, B O A T, and more. Also please use the g4mespeed mod, it allows for high quality slow motion shots, and makes pistons have smoother animations and not blink.
