personally I didn't see pain but a mix of extreme anger with even bigger fear. Kinda like ... if an animal is abused to submission over a longer time so when you hit it, it still hisses back and gives you the death glare but it won't attack because it's too scared of the consequences and instead just cowers and does whatever you wanted from it. (and no..before anyone jumps to conclusions I have never and would never abuse an animal =_= There are ways to know things without trying them out first)

@@jos-josradvanji6203 I can see that happening. It’s just Terry did so well getting help and healing from his ptsd. And Kreese dragged him back into that cage and tortured him with memories. In Ep 2 when Terry was remembering things when his chefs flame broiler sounded like gun clicks, the chef asked him if he needed to get the doctor. Terry had a doctor to help him 🥺 and in his final shot of the season, it’s like he was happy again.

That's true. Truth is, Daniel really WAS learning Cobra Kai. Terry was just teaching him things that wouldn't work against Mike, but they were real lessons.

I really hate johnny training in this season, walk on coals? Jumping through the roof? Really? Back in earlier season it was unconventional but real karate lesson like blocking incoming balls, learn kick movement in the pool

I feel like Anthony and Daniel are more similar than they'd like to admit (at least when it comes to being stubborn and self centered) and that causes them to clash a lot more. Anthony only wants to do it his way..aka only the cool,sick looking moves, nothing that actually requires effort from his side and no "lame" stories and mentioning of Miyagi. Meanwhile Daniel won't get off his high horse and can't stop preaching and stepping into the same footsteps over and over again. he also doesn't adjust his methods to the student he's facing but instead gives everyone the exact same things and looks for one exact outcome.

I think that's exactly Daniels problem. He doesn't think of Miyagi as a normal person but instead like a saint. And he tries to apply the exact same lessons onto everyone but that doesn't work. You can't treat every person the exact same because they aren't the same. If he changes his approach he might actually reach Anthony. (plus he obviously has no idea what is even going on in his sons life. and talking down on him because he plays video games certainly won't help to build a connection either.) Not gonna say Anthony isn't a total brat but he's a kid..if he gets no guidance from his parent then no wonder he turns out like shit.

@@jos-josradvanji6203 I agree Miyagi's teachings will not work for everyone and it most likely will not work for his son. Daniel and johnny both have this problem though both of them are close-minded and it is why there was a rivalry between the two because each dojo has specific styles and people that are total opposites. Miyagi is a hell of lot better role model than cobra kai and Kreese look how sam turned out she gained the strength to stand up for herself through daniel's "Miyagi lessons" lecture in the gym but after cobra kai lessons she because more like a bully and although you can't blame her for resenting tory, cobra Kais lessons definitely influence that behavior. Have you noticed that every season finale battle was because of cobra kai? First Miguel at the beach then tory at the school then cobra kai at the Larusso's home. All these fights were instigated by cobra kai but I'm not saying they are sole to blame just that they "struck first".

@@shermanbrown3621 I think it depends on the person. I think both dojos can help them grow. If I take Sam as an example... I believe the reason why Johnnys lessons might be bad for her specifically is because she already IS eagle fang at heart. The temper and passion is in her personality so Miyagi helps to balance that out with the calm lessons. Meanwhile other people like that friend of Hawk who absolutely lack self worth,discipline and most of all self esteem/confidence might benefit more from the rough eagle fang lessons. And it would be cool if Johnny and Daniel found that out as they keep going. That neither of them are wrong but that both their teachings combined create the best, healthy balance. Instead of both of them being arrogant and stuck up,thinking "my way is the best and only way".

I dunno, in my high school people just wiped down and then doused themselves in Axe body spray. No one really got funky and sweaty during regular gym classes. After like 10 minutes of roll call and 10 minutes of stretching, that's only 20 minutes of actual gym class before wrapping things up.

Nobody showered when i was in high school either. One guy who moved from another state showered one time and was made fun of for being gay for the rest of the year. The showers were basically only used by the school football and wrestling teams.

No one ever showered in my secondary school after pe. The changing room was connected to the showers and some people changed in there. Deordarant and perfume usually fixed it until getting home and showered.

@@KurNorock Damn lol, that's rough. I wouldn't make fun of a guy for using the showers but I would think it was odd because no one would do it. I think that's how it was in my HS too, with the teams probably using the showers. I wasn't an athlete or knew anyone on the team personally so I'm not sure if only they used it. The locker rooms for the gym classes didn't have showers in them, either. Just toilets and urinals and the changing area. Though, if you had swim class, that was the only time I ever saw showers. You had to shower before and after the session in the pool.

Yeah, let’s not forget that Johnny is just as stubborn as Daniel, always thinking Miyagi Do is pacifist bullshit. I think people give Johnny more leeway because he’s a buffoon about the modern world, he’s funny when he fucks up. Daniel is more of the straight man, he’s supposed to have his shit together. he takes shit seriously but when he fucks up people are disappointed because they expect him to be “better”. The thing is, both of them are in the wrong but people tend to side with Johnny because he makes them laugh more, even if he’s a drunk macho man behind on the times.

It's similar to how if you have two siblings, one well-behaved and the other one always getting into trouble, the well-behaved one will get a proportionally much fiercer response from the parents if they ever do something wrong. Johnny and Daniel both make mistakes throughout the series, but people tend to treat the ones made by Daniel more harshly than the ones by Johhny because they fulfill different archetypes.

Daniel and Johnny both are being viewed through different lenses even though both are messing up similarly with their attitudes, their interactions with certain situations as well as the kids there are teaching. We see Johnny messing up his chances at bettering himself, but we see Daniel as messing up and knowing he should be above that. And the funny thing is how both come across as childish and petty in the end.

The problem with Daniel is that he doesn't realize that the negative things he sees in others is also in himself. It's been this way even in the first Karate Kid movie. Watch it again, and you'll see how much of an asshole he was to Ali, no wonder they broke up. He points out that Cobra Kai are assholes, but Miyagi-do are not saints. Basically, he likes to play victim. Remember he himself joined Cobra Kai, he may thinks it's all behind him, but it did still happen. Just because it worked for you, doesn't mean it's gonna work for others. Daniel doesn't realize how lucky he was to have met Mr. Miyagi. Where would he be right now if Mr. Miyagi never came to his life? Dead, or in Cobra Kai under Kreese? If he never met Mr. Miyagi, he would've been the next, or should I say first Kenny Payne. Imagine if Terry Silver was actually serious about training him, would he have bothered to leave Cobra Kai? Daniel is a hypocrite for not realizing these things He doesn't realize that not everyone had a Mr. Miyagi in their life. So he shouldn't give advice on stuff he knows nothing about. I have been in Cobra Kai, and Miyagi-do situation irl so I know what it's like to be on either side.

I think "bothers him" is a big understatement. He's pretty much crippled by the things he's been through and only thanks to his new lifestyle,the people around him and probably the therapy was he able to move past his past and look into the future. But since Kreese is a part of his past,having him around keeps throwing him back into the probably scariest moments of his entire life that scarred him deep down. Kreese was sort of different because he felt betrayal and anger caused by his superior and beating him and getting rid of that anger made him happy so the memory is probably almost a good one for him. (hence why he can laugh about that time and sort of brag about how he came out on top) But I think Kreese will regret cornering a scared animal like that and Terry will end up striking back..if not out of anger then out of fear for his life. (due to the PTSD kicking in)
