Got the 6” coil out and tinkered today. Ha, shocker when it hits the 12” large cent, wow (on low recovery speed of course). Buried last year, measured carefully, some iron rust flakes/chunks all over the garden. Just tinkering, am well aware that the lil coil isnt gonna be somethin i’d likely run at a low recovery setting. Can get away with a little more sensitivity on it, less ground it’s seeing, but i forgot to try dialing it down and see if it would still hit that large cent. With the 11” coil, 25/26 seems to be pretty much max sens that I’d opt to run here.

Well, it turned all wintery again. Ended up getting a Manticore, just need snow to melt 🙄

I'm having a tough time with my 900. The large cent is a perfect example. It's bouncing from 40-95 on the TID and like some of the other coins, not very repeatable. I haven't been running my sensitivity as high because of emi. Thanks for the video, there aren't a lot out yet showing testing in the ground.

Well, 12 inches, i’m somewhat amazed it even hits it and almost all my garden coins have iron rust pieces in with them. Most only can be hit at a certain angle or two. 25 sensitivity seems to be my go-to level now. If I still had an 800, I’d compare id stabilities. I did tinker with the 12x15” coil on this 900, it reached out a few inches more on the same gold ring I tested the 11” with and hit my deep nickels pretty easy.

@@UABFWSS Thanks, I'm going to see how high I can get the sensitivity and still somewhat stable. I run my iron bias at 4 or lower and have been running 5 or below on my recovery.

@@stinkasscat 900 seems like it doesn’t settle quite as well on all target id’s, as the 800’s did (as i recall). Maybe somethin changed in multi iQ. Manticore air test video I just saw, looks similar on some targets also. Re-ordered a manticore, couldn’t resist trying one first hand.

Found a Manticore in stock at a back alley little dealer place, snatched it up. After some getting used to it quickly, I can say with certainty, that it does seem to hit most everything in my garden a bit better than the 900 did, the audio is excellent and really sorts out the mixed with iron coin signals well.
