Honestly, this is the BEST video explaining how to set up and get started with the 900... I've had one a few weeks now, my first one, so didn't have a clue about any of it and having tried many tutorials thank god I found this one... Sanity saved. Thankyou from the UK

Well spoken and explained. After being away from detecting for about 15 years I've decided to enjoy my retirement and get some exercise. Been through a few clips but this was made to look simple by your descriptions and explanations. Thanks from England🙋‍♂

Great Video! I just purchased the 900 to detect our properties and I am new to this hobby. I have a natural spring on my property that used to be an old swimming hole. I have found some old bottles and decided to get a detector after I had so much fun. Subscribed~

I’m a newbie to detecting. I started on my birthday 03-25-23 so almost 3 months in I own the XP Deus 1 and love how universal it is cuz with my elliptical hf I can run 80khz down to 13.3 kHz and with my low frequency 11” coil I can get down to 4khz for hella depth and up to around 28-30khz so Deus is amazing and DEEP. I live in eastern Oklahoma bout 20 miles from ft smith Arkansas just subbed to ur channel. Thanks for the video bro.

Hello, the "at" is for All Tones, the "dp" is for depth. Also, the 900 has a feature that eliminates the going back and forth to accept and reject target detection, if you hold down the a/r button it will remove target detection until you let go, also works in the opposite direction for adding target detection. Just a few things I picked up from watching many, many videos like yours about the 900. I'm still learning myself, and thought I would share these tips with you. Happy Treasure Hunting!!

Great video and agreed best one on the 900 that I've found for beginners! Question, for the Ground Balance, why wouldn't you just leave it on the 'automatic' setting instead of doing the 'pump calibration' exercise?

Matt, i think my digging days are over. I shifted gears and applied my time into prepping ,natural meds etc.. finding ways to keep my utility bills down. Couldnt keep up with the jones's anymore when it came to new detectors always coming out. Take Care bud

Got a good deal on this yesterday. Basically gave $550 for it. Gonna give it a try since it has the wireless headphones. I'm used to a f75 so I've got some learning to do. May give it to my boy and let him learn it. F75 is hard to top imo. At least mine is. It's not one of the dumbed down versions but still super noisy.

That’s a good place to go, I use to live out there in California and I’d go out to Hunington beach, Newport beach and Longbeach. I’ve got family out that way still. Make sure you have some In N Out for me there’s none out this way in Tennessee yet 😂✌🏻

Hi👋🏼Etienne here from South Africa. Q:are there wireless earphones available that will connect to my Equinox900 and iphone simultaneously? The box only comes with ML85 headphones which does not support connecting a phone simultaneously, however when I Google the older(?) ML80 headphones operation manual it seems that those can very well connect to your phone too, making it possible to have both devices' audio available.

Hi...Thanks for the video... Im getting my new 900 tomorrow...cant wait... Im coming from a whites dfx...i have a feeling the 900 is a way better machine from my Dfx... I wanted to ask you... My favorite place to detect is the Beach up in Gloucester Mass... Can you please give me a heads up on the Sensitivity i should use for the beach? Thank you very much!!

I would run sensitivity at around 20 to 22 on it if you wanna up the sensitivity it may just get a little more chattery but you can always auto noise cancel to find the best frequency that’s not as noisy.

Nokta is a great company and I’ve had many of their machines, I think I’d personally pick the equinox 900 over it if I had to choose between them.

I just got my 900 when putting it together I did not receive the Velcro wraps for the coil wire when wrapping shaft. I noticed you did not show this. Did you get the Velcro wraps? I thought they would be included.

This is something I noticed as well, when I got this one, it did not have the Velcro straps. When I bought the equinox 800 before they came with that model not sure why they didn’t include them on this one.

I was told you cant get waterproof headphones for the minelab because they use an encryption system so that ONLY their headphones can be used with their machine???

That’s not true at all they have waterproof headphones that you can use with the machines. They are not Minelab brand but I’ve personally used some off Kellyco with my equinox before that are wired when I went water hunting. Check out Kellyco’s website and you can find headphones on there.

Is the only difference between 800 & 900 just the 900 runs a gold frequency??

They both run gold prospecting mode 1 and 2 The difference between the machines is the 900 has a flashlight, vibration, more depth, more sensitivity, more tones and a red backlight. I will have to look further into the machine but there are more difference. Thank you for watching
