So multifrequency beat to death single frequency detectors?

Yes and no. In most cases, multi-frequency is a better choice as you aren't necessarily sure exactly what you are looking for, and so the multiple frequencies can react with the abundance of possible target compositions and give you the best chance of finding more. However, if you were looking for something specific, let's say just silver, then you could optimise your machine to a single frequency which reacts with that metal and get better results. You would hone in on silver, but most likely miss out on some other targets.

@@crawfordsmetaldetectors OK but we also have one heavy issue. EMI knocks harder with multifrequency machines. Where single frequency analog device works without any issue and interference - multi is down and you don't find anything.

We havent heard anything about any new updates to the CTX3030 or a new machine. The CTX is about 12 years old now, so dont think they'll be an update. Maybe a new CTX in the future, who knows!

Question about noise cancel......I see many video about Manticore, that the coil if up in air..and some are against the ground, or pointing toward the bound when NOISE CANCEL is depress.....is that make any difference. I always made it pointing the horizon (parallel to ground and chest level) with Equinox...now, is it the same with Manticore..?

Always cancel the noise on the ground where you are detecting, and when you have interference with other detectors, do it again (on the manticore, be sure to hold the button; the detector will look for the best frequencies)

So, i undestand that coil is on the ground and not moving, then long press on noise cancel until you seem to have find the most stable channel for the Manticore, Thank you

No, hold it in the air. Ground balance is done on the ground.
