Members of my Patreon group and myself have been figuring out the optimum settings, target ID ranges etc. to use with the Minelab Manticore to hit most of the U.S. coins ever made. This includes, larget cents, KGs, silver, clad etc. I think we found the secret sauce. To prove it, I took this coin setup and tested it with air tests, my test garden and with a real hunt at this park just to make sure the targets it was finding were truly coins and I think you will be pretty surprised. Great program. You can clean a yard of coins quick with this setup. I actually found a silver Masonic coin on my first run of this program. I did modify it so that you wedding band would ring at a midtone and a lower volume. When i hear the midtone, I can choose to dig it or ignore it. I did that by masking 1-20 VID using the Iron settings, this freed up one of the 5 tones to be use for the gold wedding band.

I know you demonstrated inputting the gold included program . My question is do use the same pitch and volume for the gold excluded, or do you adjust for the discrimination variations. And a great video 👍

I just ordered the manticore and am now trying to gear up on the settings and such. Saw how you developed your coin program and dropped it into your favorites. Question: can you save more than one and then how do you dial between them? TIA

Let say for instance you take All Terrain General, make some changes to it, and make that setup your favorite, you have now just lost the default All Terrain General program. That is one of the downsides.

The falsing isn't happening to everyone. I think its the ground conditions that are doing a lot of it. I see the videos and chatted with others who are having the issues. I can't say I'm experiencing the same. I have a video in heavy iron where we pulled a 1/2 reale and old copper from an iron infested site. This program will illuminate a lot of the iron since we aren't leaving it wide open so I would say yes but I can't speak for everyone's permission and ground condition on whether it will be solid. You will dig some junk if you keep range of coins like I did that include gold but you shouldn't dig too much junk.

Trying out your program but I’m getting a lot of high tone falsing , any suggestions I’m running my sensitivity about 20 ? Thanks Chuck

Try checking with All metal mode and by using the pinpoint feature. Minelab came out with the following: I recommend using Pinpoint Mode to locate the centre of a target and quickly checking it again in detection mode with the coil centered on the target. A consistent ferrous response on the center of the target which turns to non-ferrous off to the side is a giveaway that you have iron falsing. A couple of seconds in Pinpoint mode is one of the best ways to distinguish between 2 targets, and one piece of falsing iron. Many experienced users don’t think they need to use Pinpoint, but it can give you more than just target location information.

Thanks for taking the time to explain The pinpoint function I have been experimenting with that, but my main problem is high tone falseing but not a repeatable signal , is time consuming checking each hi Tone to see if it is repairable , gets a little old after a while, I know it is going to take some time to learn this machine , but I find myself wanting to put it in the truck and take the d2 out . Is there any way to block those hi Tone falseing ? Thanks Chuck
