Hi Craig, no worries mate, it was a really good day and I said to Henry many times that its such a great place to metal detect and to make a KZfaq film. Landowner was happy for me to bring Henry back here anytime, so maybe a rematch after a couple of hard frosts have got rid of all that grass

Hi mate, you can't just nip here for an hour here or there and leave with pockets full of coins. You have to put a full day in and its hard work. Finds have always been few n far between, but man its a wonderful place that's for sure and an amazing place to make a KZfaq film. I'll be back there after first frost and all that long grass has died down. Thanks as always for tuning in, apologies for the slow reply

@TheDukesOfDerbyshire yes, it's a lovely place. It can be hard going when the targets are few and far between. I've just got permission on some fields close to me. They are so quiet compared to the usual trash heavy sites I hunt. It makes me dig just about every target as I feel the need to dig.. I think I prefer trash heavy sites with 10 signals per swing. Then listen out for something half decent to dig. When it's silent for 15 minutes at a time I have to keep checking the detector is on lol. As long as good finds come up, it's all worth while.. Good luck for the weekend 😀

Hi mate , good effort once more and nice to see you both out together and comparing the two machines , not tons of finds admittedly but still some good stuff a very nice vicky and the hole makes it it a very personal coin , as for the spindle whorle the FLO has come on in leaps and bounds as regards dating them apparently the smaller the hole the older it is , anyway a good watch mate ATB Rob .

It amazes me that back in the day folks did not notice they'd dropped one of those cartwheel pennies...You'd imagine they'd notice they felt a bit lighter suddenly, and lying on the surface freshly dropped it'd be hard to miss. 🤣 Really enjoying your vids mate.

A 1968 10p. The first year of decimal (as far as I gather). Interesting find. We used to spend the big 5, 10 and 50ps in the 80s. The tiny half pennies used to be on the streets cos people just chucked em. As kids, we would find them and buy a few sweets in the corner shop. Hope you and the family are good, mate.

Hi mate, yeah I bet those tiny half pennies were practically worthless. I've got a tub with a couple hundred in at home, all found detecting. Hi there, thanks very much for visiting my channel and watching this video. That depends on how much money you want to spend and what kind of landscape you want to metal detect on. Any Minelab, XP or Nokta Makro would be my recommendation. Multi Frequency for beaches and pasture fields

Hi mate, yes this place needs a couple of hard frosts to make it easily detectable. Definitely going to visit this place a few times this winter. Manticore seems OK, but at £1,800 way out of my budget. Would it find anything a Deus2 wouldn't, probably not. Do you need a 2D screen on a metal detector? Nope

Hi, the Roman Road passes straight through this place. But in 10 - 15 visits to this amazing place, I've not found a single piece of Roman history. But its there, I've seen it on an old map, will keep looking. Thank you for visiting my channel
